I understand the photos aren't of great quality but they are a bit of a rushed job with my phone, lol.

So, after pricing how much it would cost to get the Subaru track ready and at around 400bhp, I started to realise it would be better to purchase a track ready car and something a little different.

I've known the owner of the car for many years and I know how little the Rx7 has been used (busy family man with an upcoming wedding). It was originally built by a company called Re:Worx in Brighton I believe and has been very successful in competition racing.

The spec is as follows:

RX Motors half bridge ported 13B REW (circa 2000 miles)
T04Z Turbo (horsepowerinabox kit)
1.32AR exhaust housing
Turbosmart Pro-gate 48mm wastegate (plumbed into heat wrapped down pipe)
Re:Worx / PWR V-mount
1600cc secondary injectors
KGParts fuel rail
Aeromotive FPR
Coolingmist single stage water injection fed from UK spec washer bottle
Greddy elbow
FEED mid pipe
Racing Beat twin exit cat back (powerflex exhaust bushes throughout)
APEXi AVCR (setup to 0.8(a) / 0.95(b) bar)
APEXi Power FC
HKS Twin power spark amp
SARD 280lph in-tank fuel pump
Battery (optima red-top) Relocated to boot
Alloy battery cage bolted to rear cross member
Fuel pump totally rewired - fed from battery via fused relay, idle resistor eliminated
Magnecor 10mm ignition leads
NGK B10EGV plugs
Greddy catch tank

Tein Flex coilovers
Racing Beat uprated rear anti roll bar
Racing Beat uprated front anti roll bar
Rota Torque drift 17"/9 et35
Toyo R888s all round

OS Giken twin plate paddle clutch (alloy cover)
Solid diff mounts/engine mounts
Dragon Performance diff brace
Powerflex suspension bushes throughout
RE-amemiya 3 point strut brace/master cylinder stopper
AP Racing 4 pot brakes
Pagid RS-14 pads
Castrol RSF fluid
Braided rear brake hoses

Fully Stripped
Roll Cage
Air conditioning removed
Safety fire extinguisher installed (fed through to front seats and engine bay)
Mazda UK MPH Clocks
SPA Programmable water temperature gauge
Momo Race steering wheel/boss
Mazdaspeed Carbon gear knob
PZ rear bins (complete)
Rolled rear arches/flared front arches

High risk hoses upgraded to earls braided hoses: Waste gate/boost control hoses
Water injection hoses front to rear
Turbo Oil feed/return
Water feed/return
Various under bonnet heat shielding

Power - 470bhp on medium boost. 540bhp on high boost (aggressive)

Bad points - Erm, not too much really. Paintwork is tatty and it's sporting a couple of war scars, but nothing I'm worried nor bothered about, it's purely a track car.

Inside it gets very hot (Fixed polycarb windows) so I will look into getting a slider kit installed in the drivers window.

Paddle clutch can be quite difficult to get used to.

MPG…flol, can't describe how bad it is. Ridiculous.

That's about it really, I've had a soft spot for RX7's for years now so it's amazing to finally own one. The way it picks up speed is unbelievable, I've never experienced anything like it before.

C&C welcome as always,

cheers.

Nice.

Cheers for the comments. Yeah it does need a tidy up, inside and out. It will get a good scrub up soon.

I do have some videos from the test drive but I'm deffo not posting them here :p lol It sounds evil and makes an awesome noise when you come off the throttle!

There's a few videos of it on Youtube overtaking a Porsche 911 GT3 and a Ferrari endurance car (can't remember what model), on track obviously.

Just bought some tyres today as the r888s are erm, not so legal anymore, lol!

Gone for 2x Toyo C1S and 2x Toyo T1S, as recommended by previous owner. I priced some Yokohama's but the price was pretty ridiculous, going to swap the tyres for slicks before it goes on track anyway so didn't want to splash out on top notch tyres just for driving to the track, but at the same time didn't want ditch finders!

Sent a couple of PMs to the traders about an insurance quote, hopefully get that sorted, than tax it and I'm good to go!!

Lol :p

ill upload some of it later of the previous owner driving it on track. Was a slightly lesser spec then though, video is circa 2011 iirc, but still went past pretty much everything in front of it.

LOVE the RX7s! The one I have on GT6 is still my favourite car.

I cannot believe that lines of that car are approaching quarter-of-a-century in age. Jap cars have often been called boring and hideous (sometimes, quite rightly so!) - but with cars like this, the last Supra and the NSX - they released some great looking cars.

I'd love one. I really would. Just how bad is bad when it comes to the fuel economy?! :)

They really are great looking cars, although this one isn't much of a looker compared to some!

From what I've been told, it will go through £200 worth of fuel on a track day, plus the oil added in with the fuel. I believe it uses Royal Purple synthetic, mixed with 95 ron at a ratio of 100:1.

Lol that's one way of putting it! In the 4th vid you can hear Craig getting a bit fed up of the Porsche getting in his way lol!

In video 2 you see the Ferrari endurance car at 3:30 ish. Not sure what model it is though.

Erm if it has the omp removed then you need to use 2 stroke oil in the fuel tank with the fuel, not a fully synth oil.... The 2 stroke will be better and cut down on the carbon build ups.
