1st Attempt at Painting

I've had my 1st go at spraying up Side Badges

My GF has a Pearlescent Black '04 Dynamique which originally came with Plain Plastic Sidestrips and Badges so I found some Painted Black Sidestrips off an RS and then had a go at Colouring the badges to match,

Used Rover Stone Grey and Pearlescent Black,

Let me know what you think and any advice as I'm going to be doing mine very very soon

Will hopefully be putting some 172 Wheels on which will be Resprayed the Rover Stone Grey soon BUT leaving Std Wheels on for now as she only Passed on Tuesday so no doubt there will be some Kurbing going on in the near future :quiet:

Looks good, im doing mine at the mo, im also using rover stone grey to match my wheels but it looks alot darker than yours

looks like a good job mate... how many coats of laquer did you use?

I would be tempted to do 1 or 2 more coats, and it should make them nice and smooth and glossy looking similar to the rest of the paintwork. Then a good going over with a cutting compound once the laquer has fully cured.

I was going to do 1 or 2 more but the GF wanted to show them off so had tp put them on the car

I'm going to take more time on my stuff as I'm in no major rush

Will be doing plenty of Coats of Colour and Lacquer

Need to get a Tiny Paintbrush as I used the Brush which came with the Touch Up set from Renault and it was Rubbish to say the least!

did you use tape to spray the number a diff colour? oh looks good

Just sprayed the whole badge Anthracite and then with a Touch Up Pen Set just went over the raised numbers and letters, Then Lacquered the lot

She loves them, Wouldn't let me do another Coat of Lacquer because she just wanted to show them off, Bless her LOL

Most certainly am, They are all sanded down and will probably put the Primer on this Morning before work, Few other bits will get done in time aswell
