How it was done:

Lightweight flywheel

I was changing my clutch and decided to shave off some extra weight of my flywheel.

Unfortunately, my father forgot to weigh the flywheel before the "operation".

Now, the flywheel weighs approximately <5kg, but I DON'T KNOW ITS STOCK WEIGHT! :S

First of all, I would like to thank Matt (A.K.A. Drifter) for his help in this "adventure" (he will know why :lol. If there wasn't for him, I would never get this airbox. :thumbup:

So, let's start - I have installed a Clio V6/R3 airbox.

My intention was to install the airbox to the stock look - as close as possible.
That's why I left some parts of the battery outer casing so I could leave the fuses at the original places.

Because the rubber hose was a bit too long, and I didn't want it touching my chassis, I had it cut on the edges, and made the angles on the hose, so it could fit like a glove.

Airbox is so well fixed that there is no need for extra carriers because there is no vibrations.

Since the airbox comes with a "classic" filter, I took the KTR one because I had no intention on waiting another week or two (I was waiting for my airbox and the hose for 40 days or more :001_rolleyes,and the KTR one I got in a few days. Eventually, when this filter gets dirty, I will go for the Green filter.

I think the car is accelerating faster @ >5000rpm, but it could be a Placebo effect. The thing is, I had to use a 95 octane fuel instead of 100 octane fuel - my car is remapped to drive on 100 octane fuel - so with the 100 octane fuel I may gain some extra power.

Will remap the car after I fit the cat cams that I have in my garage for the past month or two - lying on the shelf...

The sound is awesome!

Will TRY to get the cold air to the airbox through the front bumper, next to the fog light - but I've noticed today that the airbox is cold when I stop and immediately check it.

So there is enough cold air, and that battery outer casing is acting like a heat shield - kinda...

Next thing on my list. 8)

INCREDIBLE!!!

My car is now 3x more comfortable than with Eibach Pro Kit, and 2x more with than with stock shocks!

It handles much better now, but to me the most fascinating thing was the fact that the car is much much much more comfortable than before! It "swallows" bumps like a charm!

Definitely one of the best investments in the car! :star:

Unfortunately, I couldn't get them from KTR because I had to go through your dealer in Croatia, and he couldn't/wouldn't sell it to me so I had to get it through my friend in GB and through Renault.

KTR panel filter was bought in KTR, of course.

I also wanted those braided lines and some other parts like the cams...but couldn't get it.

And it would be a great promotion for your company given in mind that my 197 is officially the fastest 197 @ 1/4 mile with the result of 14,83s (and next season I'm targeting ~14,5s) and that I'm on dozen other forums.

Race against the Vectra diesel? Did that already - Vectra GTS 3.0 CDTI automatic...and I was much faster...he doesn't stand a chance...

Will get it on video when he gets back from Wienna.

I'm fast as the BMW E60 535d automatic from the rolling start, and I would say that I'm faster a bit till 210km/h.

I think I have that vid from last night.

Just bought R888 for the next season - used, less than 1kkm and on the 100hp 1.6 Vectra! 240 for all 4!

Will pair them with the gold OZ Ultras in the Spring - track day setup, and the stock ones will be powder coated in antracite and with GY Ultragrip 7+ or Dunlop 3D winter tyres next winter.

I know it would look good, but I don't like the black wheels because when you're driving they look like you have those old steel rims...i was thinking about making the stock wheels look like those Raider wheels but that's too bling bling for me.

Tnx, but IMHO, it looks nothing special on this photo but in real life it's attractive because it's lowered and looks more aggressive and this spacers add some aggressiveness too.

Today was interesting also, wish we had a fourth car to film the race: BMW E38 540 4.4 vs BMW E39 740 4.4 vs Clio 197

I have them 0-190km/h, and then they pass me...

I have a 2 year old summer tyres with 30 000km and no more threads...

But non the less, some friends wanted a rematch (A8 on 17" winter tyres, before on 20", BMW E39 740i on 17" winter tyres too)...the results were the same as before. :star:

It wasn't too hard to take off but I had the feeling it would brake.

Winyls were hard to bend at the lower part of the dash (when looking from the front) - had to make it from 2 parts.

This is the best carbon look winyl on the market - 3M.

It looks much better in real life.
