99-00 Clio 1.6 16v...Who has one!

  Mk2 Ph1, 1.6 16v Clio

Hi there,

IThis model was only in production from March 1999 until January 2000 so who on here has one? I have one, heres specs:

-1999 V-Reg
-38,000 miles
-Metallic Blue
-Renault Bodykit (not sure of name?! but its subtle and not standard)
-Full Dark Blue Leather Interior and Leather door trim
-4 Air bags
-15" Softline Alloys (want 17" ones but cant get a good answer onw hat will fit on this model without rubbing the arches etc - anyone know?!?!)

So, cmon people, can anyone top this low mileage and manafacturer extras?
Oh yeah, and it cost me £3295 in August 2004 - Private sale.

Cheers!

Im the only owner of one it seems who posts during the day :p

My search continues! I am looking for people because I have some issues with some alloys I want to buy and talking to people who have the exact model as me should make it easier!

Yeah, but after being told by Rochford Tyres on the phone that 205/40/17 on 17" s would rub the arches - its thrown me out! So i wanted anyone who has same model as me to lemme know what they know about it. Guy at Rochford told me not to go higher than 16". At the minute im running 195/45/15s with no probs at all.

Cheers!

ive got a 2002 1.6 16v lowered about 50mm on coilovers and the only time i get rubbing is when i take a roundabout at 50+ (with all arch liners still in place)

that is with 17" wheels with 205/40 tyres and an et of 35

Hmm. Thx mate. yours is a newer shape than mine though but i dont know if theres any difference to arches etc? The alloys im after come with 4 alloys and 4 205/40/17 tyres with et38.

I just dont wanna order them and find that they rub on the arches or dont have proper clearance. Without lowering i might be ok (but it will look like its on stilts) but if i lower it as well then i guess thered be a problem.

Sorry to keep going on about this. using rochfords tyre calculator I can find a tyre that keeps within 3.44% of my current total diameter but they are Pirellis and instead of getting the package for £375 inc.vat it will be £555 - which is more than i wanna spend.

:/
