advice on buying a 2nd hand 172

more or less decided im gonna scrap the 182 idea and get a 172 save 2.5k and go travelling for a few months instead.

never brought a 2nd hand car before tho. lol might even try ebay, but is that too much of a risk?

whats the main things to look for on a 172?, faults wise imean.. it will prob be a 52 plate.

make sure you gat RAC or AA to check it out for you



there is no need to go for the most expensive check (£300)!!!



theres one for (£120) and they will email / call /fax / or send you a copy of there checks and give you a rating of the car the same day if i remeber

they HPI check it too........



we i got mine he found a couple of faults that the guy fixed before i bought it.



if you find a problem they have overlooked 1 month after you bought the car then you can go back to them and they i.e. the AA / RAC will pay for the repairs!
