You uprating your engine mounts at the same time? Apparently on standard rubbers the Toyo manifold hits things.

I think my 197 has a bit of a blow from the manifold. If it does, I really want the PMS one. And some Schrick cams lol

Few jobs done today.

New gaitor fitted.

New rear GT lights arrived today. Should smarten the rear end up a touch.

I assume these will fail an MOT as no fog light?
Mine failed an MOT with those rear lights. I couldnt believe it. Luckily it takes 5 minutes to swap the lights for an MOT test. @Phil555 keep the old lights and just swap for the MOT test.

The fog light is at the bottom of the bumper on the cars with the GT lights so unless you MOT tester is very friendly you will need to swap the lights over every year so like @Gus says keep your OE Set.

Changed the washer nozzles today. Spray coverage is 100% better now.

Took 20 mins.

OEM Citroen C3 nozzles used.

Slight mod required bu cutting the front section of the nozzle. Ensure rubber seal is removed before cutting.

Push fit gently into place on the bonnet and reattach the hose.

Much improved look and water coverage.

I would change the hose to a silicon hose which is a tight fit, These have a common fault of leaking at the washer jet and going down into the spark plugs which means new plugs and possible ignition coil.

Been OK so far. No water leaks since I changed them.

its a common fault with the Mk3s and the twingo’s

just letting you know, I don’t thing it’s the jet but more the rubber hose that cracks as it’s perishable and the hose ends up leaking.

Cheers. I noticed water in there with the old jet. I’ll keep an eye on it. [emoji1303].

I will be keeping the OE set.

The GT pair will be modified so that one of the reverse lights becomes a fog light. I will modify the harness and bulb holder to suit so I have 1 reverse light on one side and a fog light on the other.

Carbon fibre exhaust tips from Pure Motorsport.

IMG_8601.webp

RS gear knob from RPD. Weighs a ton this thing.

IMG_8602.webp

Stud conversion kits from Pure Motorsport. Bought the std and extended. I run 20mm spacers all around so the extended version will be used.

IMG_8603.webp

Engine & gear box mounts from K-Tec.

IMG_8604.webp

OE Renaulsport mat set from RPD.

Scorpion decat from a company called Freak Lizard.

You will need a remap with the scorpion and the decat - caused a massive flat spot on my car that was like hit a brick wall!!

Another busy weekend working on the AG200.

GT rear lights fitted.

Std lights.

IMG_8644.webp

Lights removed and bodywork cleaned.

IMG_8645.webp

IMG_8648.webp

Comparrison between the two sets.

IMG_8646.webp

New lights in place. They do freshen the rear end up.

IMG_8649.webp

Next task for the lights is to wire one of the reverse lights into a rear fog light.

Next on the list was to tackle the exhaust tips and replace them with the Pure Motorsport version.

Diffuser removed and a quick hose down.

IMG_8650.webp

IMG_8651.webp

Std tips removed and a test fit with the carbon fibre tips.

IMG_8652.webp

IMG_8653.webp

I used the below Evo-Stick product.

IMG_8657.webp

Tips in place and filled the channel on the rear of the diffuser with Evo-Stick. Once this dried I also used std silicon over the top. Had to use a fair amount to ensure a good solid stick as the tips do have a lot of slogger in the diffuser.

Staying with the exhaust theme. Had a go at heat wrapping the decat. Just wanted to see how this was done as I will be heat wrapping my Toyo Sports manifold to keep the engine bay temperature down a bit.
