i just got my self a set of wolfracing 17" 5spoke alloys two with pretty much new tyres and two were dead, but anyways all the wheels are in a pretty bad shape all kirbed see a few people fix them, at home has anyone done this and is it worth me giving it a shot?

If you're down to a bit of manual labor, get some sand paper, sand discs for the drill, metal filler and get to work. When you're done bring them to a paint shop and get them sprayed. I did mine for 50 euros of both material and spraying.

ahh so if i cleaned them up a bit then got them sprayed would save alot because they only need spraying?

It's not just a clean up, you need to fill the kerbs, sand it down as all the surface is smoooth and regular, then you can have them painted.
