Alternator rain shield

Hey, quick question.

Can anyone tell me if as standard there is a rain shield fitted behind the grill of a 1.4 16v mk2 to protect the alternator?

Removed the induction kit that was on there today, and the intake came down in front of the alternator. Just wondering if whoever fitted it pulled anything out as the alternator looks quite exposed to rain as it is.

Yes it should have one behind the grille. People do remove them to make way for inductions kit/cafs.
