Whats going on homies?

Humble apologies ditz Hope it doesn't end up ruling your life the way this one does ours lol.
At the moment there's not a vast amount of progress to report as i've been paying back some of the work Moo has done on this by helping him get his pitbike ready for the southern championships. Basically we got ourselves a poverty spec dash so we've not got the extra guages anymore as they were messing us around. I've done the same (slightly better perhaps) job shortening it to fit between the cage and the top section is shortened too so thats ready to go offa nd be flocked. Pics to follow shortly.
Also we've had a couple of nice bits turn up in the mean time...

Today was spent rebuilding Moo's remote controlled aeroplane which had a below par landing in early Janurary to free up somewhere safe for your new dash. This is the new shorter dash as the other one had the extra gauges in it which we didn't really want. This time we've also shortened the top section as well, but leaving enough to cover all the bolts. We'll be sending the top section for flocking soon once the column covers have been modified as they're going too.
We also have a small section of carbon fibre (supplied by the door card people) to make a din panel out of to mount out starter and ignition switch in.
We need to make sure this is all done to a high quality as it'll be one of the very few trim peices on the car.

Thanks for the comment on the dash it was quite a long winded job to shorten but I think it'll be well worth it.
As for the carbon fibre door panels, we got them from www.performance-trim.com who were very helpful and we got a prompt delivery.

Sorry about the massive post but we've been pretty busy.
Right not much progress from last weekend as I was working to try and get some money for the project, so I left Moo in charge of finishing off the din panel.
First of all I glued the carbon fibre din panel into the radio surround, then I soldered the terminals onto the switches and taped up the looms.
The we connected them up to the dash to check all was still well
We had a major consignment of parts arrive:
The plastic windows with sliders were the first to arrive
Swiftly followed by the red top battery, fan switch, battery cut off and white dials
We then decided this weekend was the one to get our arses in gear and make some more progress on the car itself.
We headed down the garage and started work, First thing we did is drop the battey into its holder and placed it into the car see where we want it.
Then we started on a job thats been hanging over us for some time now, trial fitting the carbon fibre roof
First injury of the day, grinder (aka the death saw) has Moo's thumb
So I told him to stop windging and work continued
Work was all going to plan until lifting the roof of the sealer I was was told by Moo, 'stop that you'll put yourself in hospital' pretty much as this happened.
So I dashed home for a much needed plaster, and then work continued.
We then dropped the carbon roof into place so we can perfect the fit
Quite simply I think it looks STUNNING!
We then dropped the windscreen in to see how everything fits together
Perfect fit! Well chuffed! Just need to do some tidying up round the edges but the majority of roof work is done!

which stopped play for a bit. But that wasn't before we found out we have remove more than enough weight from the rear!

This is easliy achieveable as Beanie is 9 and a half stone of wet lettauce and managed to lift it enough that the rear skipped over a few inches!:dead:

Just a tiny update today as i'm having to work for the next couple of weekends to raise money for the fast approaching paintjob. However to make sure we keep making progress i've been tinkering with little bits and bobs during my lunch breaks.
This time i've been adjusting the column covers as we're not having stereo controls or an ignition barrel.
Now these and the dash top section are ready to go off for flocking.
