Another trs tow strap thread

Car  Ph1 T
Right I've used the search button and found a few threads but there has been people saying you need to drill the back plate out where the original thread is and others say the m16 bolt will just go into the current thread, anyone who's fitted one on a 182 if you could tell me how its done as don't want to drill thr back out if idon't need to,

Oh and the only reason I'm getting one is for track as I don't like tow eyes, it's wont be on my car constantly :)

The plate on the tow strap has a hole in it but it's too small - you have to enlarge it by about 2mm
Then you get a bolt that fits the standard towing eye hole on the car and bolt it on

I bought the bolt from a local tow center as it's the same bolt that you use on tow bars for trailers apparently

all you need is a round file and a m16 bolt. file the hole on the tow strap bracket like said above like 2mm sounds easyier than it is takes ages and a sore arm lol then the m16 bolt just screws right in you mite want to use some lubricant to get it in as its a bit stiff from the years of crap build up in the thread

I can get a dremel, so I don't need to drill the back plate out in the original tow eye thread

okay sound obviosly dont need the nut though will just thread straight into the current hole..

cheers for advice mate :)
