Back to where I started

  225 Cup & Williams
So after regrettably selling my 225 Cup to Jacob aka the Russian I've made the step back to where my Renaultsport ownership started and I'm back in a ph1 172 in pearl black.

I have to admit I'm absolutely loving being back in a 172 they're just a hoot to drive at any time.

So here's a few pics & the current spec:

2002 Ph1 172
Pearl black
140k miles
Ktec stealth
Powerflex dogbone mount
New engine mounts fitted yesterday
Eibach camber bolts
172 Cup shocks
Eibach sportlines
X4 Pe2's recently fitted
Ph2 rear lights
Cup spoiler (on its way)

I genuinely think that ph1's are the best Renaultsport made so far. Good work!

lol, saw Jacob other week in the 225, weird how he went from phase 1 to 225 and you went back the other way.

I think he made wrong choice and you've made the right one ;)

  A special one.
Black ph1's are full of win.

If I had one then it would have to be boosted, it seems the right thing to do. :)

Believe me if I had the funds that I did have when I had the 225 and titanium ph1 before that this one would be boosted or throttle bodies in no time.

Thats unlucky! Especially being an alloy one, always seems you take a normal respray price and quadruple it for an alloy one!

To give you an idea.

Farmer - £100

Me - £300+

Go figure.

It's okay if it doesn't have damage or a million stone chips.

Labour - Roughly £200, full bonnet strip back, especially front edge for stone chips. Primer, re-flatten, then paint.

Repair large dent alu bonnet remove and strip all parts.

Paint material roughly £80-100. +vat. It's not really a price for painting a normal bonnet, it needs repaired and also stripped back.
