hey fella welcome to the club

personally id have an enclosed air filter or a panel filter. ITG panel or the maxogen.
id get a stainless steel exhaust first and get it decatted, then lowered, but thats my opinion.

im going to sell the vtr. no point in having both i dont think, i love the clio as well and wouldn't miss the saxo.

yer its in perfect condition (the clio) and i was thinking about lowering but i wasn't sure on insurance premiums with it being lowered.

do panel filters give you a nice deep noise? ive only ever had forced air or cone ones.

thanks

panel filters wont give any noticeable noise change..

wouldnt get that one out your link, will suffer from heatsoak like a b**ch.. the standard black airbox gets warm enough.

how have you got insured at 19?? only one place would insure me at 20..

You own a clio now not a Paxo...No need for Gashy performancee losing IK's.

Maxogen Or Std (ITG Pannel filter)

  Turbos.
I doubt just having a job to do it.

I left school after year 11 and went into full time work and still had borrow huge amounts to pay for my 1.2 16v. It cost 3k to insure in its first year so i doubt a betting shop job would pay for a Saxo, then a 182 lol. What is it with people on here, they can't admit they borrowed money off their parents...?

I'm 21 and have never lent money off my parents to help me with buying my cars. I bought my 182 with cash, and paid for the insurance in a oner... £10k and £2k insurance....

erm would you like to ring the guy from hillpower and say that ? or mention that to the many hillpower owners on this site who have had decent gains.
my cup pulls WAY harder now from low down AND at 100+ since fitting the kit, i have the standard airfeed + a custom bumper one without any twists. its sealed like the ITG and i belive uses the same cone as the ITG anyway only difference is that the side where it is cooler is open, this makes it in my opinion better than many closed IK`s as you have a huge air feed opening within which to run two massive 60mm feeds if you wanted without hot air being dragged in, of course it also sounds nicer than a fully closed.

it also looks ace (if your into that thing) and i bought mine for £150 its well worth it at that price for the noise alone, but i can just touch the throttle a bit now and the car pulls nicely without having to put my foot a few CM`s further down to get the air to be sucked in.

finally the noise isnt there unless your foot is pressed over half way down on the accelarator so unobtrusive.

the fact you mentioned Maxogen shows your being a snobby TBH. ask Chris'nNic172 what kit he uses for his 14.1 1/4 mile on a almost stock car apart from just rsport, decat, hillpower

Mate, your jibbering...I was refering to K&N, And open filters. Not the hillpower one.

Nothing to do with Snob value, but the maxogen is the best filter.

No offence mate your Hill power is still Not that good, it's a 45£ Ram Air Filter put inside a metal casing. And this is what happened to my ram air filter

Assumption is the mother of all f**k up's mate.

your just pissed at your hill power breaking.

the feed is the most important thing, there are a few 225 owners with homemade £45 induction kits that produce lots of power i.e 12-15bhp. A maxogen is a waste, rip off £400+ for 1hp more over a proper feed.
