In the service book there is a stamp and a note in the box saying cambelt done. Now the garage that did it was a unit place so it's closed down (this was done in 2010). It was done on 25k the car is currently on 37k. Is there anyway to check whether the pump and tensioners have been done? The belt actually looks new it still has some markings on it and the tensionsers look alright too but the bolts are rusty :S

Should i just get it changed for the sake of it again?

It's difficult to tell, but i would take it to a specialist to get the timing checked at least.

Would I have to pay Renault to have a gander? Any suggested garages in South West that could have serious look?

Well I got a service in July so I'm tempted to get them all done again as I'm intending on keeping the car for quite a while. Should I get the dephaser done while I'm at it? Thing is all it says on the service is cambelt, not specifically aux belt, water pump etc.

I would for one you will have receipt to prove when or if you ever sell..and two for piece of mind

i would get the cambelt kit, aux kit and dephaser when getting it done.

Is that the big £550 service that rentech do? Where would you suggest to get it done?

Yeah but I think its been done so I'm going to wait until the next service and make sure everyone of these bloody belts are done.

Think they are about the same but the fact that Verwood is close to Poole/Sandbanks, where alot of my misses family have caravans, who will probably be down there, will probably swing it, as shes going to be ghosting me! But nothing is for sure just yet need to have a discussion with her about it.
