Best after market panel filter

Hey Folks,

I'm Amandas172 better half and using her login for some help whilst shes sleeping like a baby.

We have just bought a aftermarket cat-back system after her xzorst (mid section) gave up the ghost. The same day as when I had to replace x4 on my Scooby (£700).

I want to buy her a good panel filter replacement. I used to have a R5 GTT (197BHP - GT Tuning goodies) and ran a Green Cotton filter before moving onto K&N (more noise than anything else on 57i).

Can you help us on what the best one is now days to suit the 172 (v2) with now after market system? :S

Please post ideas as I will ask her to check tomorrow whislt she is at work.

Yeah ITG panel filter seems to be the popular choice!

ITG are good, seems to be the way to go although i still like the likes of K&N etc

What about the oil base on the ITG filter. Will that affect the o2 sensor?

As an ex scooby owner myself I'm all too aware of the problems that oil coated filters used to cause to the maf sensor hotwire.

I went for the green panel and am very happy with it......not sure if there is that much difference power wise but feels ever so slghtly crisper to drive.
