Best exhaust for track focused Clio 172 Cup

  Audi S3 & 172 Cup
Hi all,

I have a Clio 172 Cup that is primarily going to be used as a track car with occasional road use. I want to fit a sports exhaust partly to squeeze a few more bhp’s but mainly to giver her a better voice on track.

I would be grateful for suggestions of the best exhaust to meet my needs. Willing to spend up to £400 to get the right system and haven’t decided about decatting since there seems to be a fair amount of divided opinion but I would certainly be willing to decat to get the right track sound, etc.

Cheers.

I would say yozza but he really isnt good to deal with business wise IMO so its got to be the re-cessed k-tec for that budget

was unaware of that. Hopefully things will of picked up a lot then. Does he keep his own stock or is it supplied from yoz?

Yozza race system. I love mine. Quality is in a different league to the k-tec exhaust I had on previously. Lighter, and better made. Speak to Fred at BTM.

another vote for a yozza system. will be going that way eventually when mine dies, however ive seen one fitted and it looked spot on quality wise.

Yozzasport all the way. Love mine. Fred does seem to keep some in stock. Carnt say i ever had a probelm buying from Yoz direct anyway.

^ Yozza. Ktec's is too heavy really so any gains are compromised.

Yozza is apparently lighter but the difference im guessing is only 1 or 2 kgs between them which wouldnt make a difference at all and you dont really get BHP gains on a N/A set up with a exhaust.

I'm looking at one of these next. I thought was to sure if it would pass some trackdays sound checks?
I think with a decat donnington won't let you on, but everywhere else should be fine. I'm not using a decat though.

Donnington has been ruined now anyway so thats not a concern. Will cope fine everywhere else.

you'd be surprised, i'm quite happy to put my balls on the line and say point blank, i doubt any other exhaust system out there for the 172/182 is as light as the yozza stuff

i'll post up the weights of the various systems in due course

always very impressed with my yozza stealth with yozza decat, had no problems getting it on track anywhere. made a decent power gain aswell
