Black and silver number plates

im thinking of getting some but dont want to get constantly pulled
i understand that metal pressed plates are ilegal as they are non reflective

but what about plastic black + silver plates? any info would be greaty recieved

no they aren't legal at all, only on cars registered before 1972.

A mate of mine had these, got away with it for a couple of months before the police pulled him over and asked if he was takin the p***. He quickly removed them.

Some of the big cars round my way have them on, chrysler 300c's, mercs, plus a few bentleys, and some range rovers too - all of the cars are black as well. I guess it's only a matter of time before they get busted for them.

If you want to do it legally, I say get an old beetle or an old mini.
