Hi All

But then sadly ended up in a crash, Which i do take some of the blame but things happen and you learn from them

Didnt drive for couple weeks as i was a bit funny with getting back into a car

One month down the line i purchased a new beautiful Whip from sheffield

After a while i decided i wanted to become a Private plat fag so went online and decided to buy R5 EDT
Would of been better if i had it when i owned my Renault 5 Gt Turbo but thats in the past now

They dont seem to be as dark in the flesh for some reason nor the picture above

In the last few weeks i have purchased some Renault sport mats, Alloy Foot rest and some beloved recaro trendlines out of a trophy, number 68 to be exact if anyone knows what happened to that car

I will also upload some pics of the following items added into the interior

Future Modifications;

  • Spray shack interior dash strips and inserts (silver)
  • Have steering wheel re-trimmed with silver/grey stitching and a silver line at the top (racing style)
  • Bit stuck on whether to refurb my original alloys and have them done in black or purchase some turinis and have them in black
  • Carbon fibre front and back badges (purchased from rob sri)
  • Need a new front splitter as a companys drive(potholes) got the best of it!!!!
  • Silvervision indicator bulbs
  • Purchased a dashboard so i want that and my a pillars to be re trimmed in alacantra (any pics would be great as im a bit indecisive whether to have it done, hence i bought a 2nd dash incase i dont like it

Any other ideas would be appreciated

Cheers

Finaly got a few snaps of the interior

One of my best investments yet are my recaro trendlines

Whats this about acoustic valves?

Cheers

Trophy spoiler and Turinis would look amazing! A true Full Fat 182... maybe Sachs remote resovoir dampers too

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
Don't think I'm a fan of the trophy spoiler :/

Might have to see them at clio sport or a meet before and from pics I prefer the cup shape

Id love a set of turinis in black just funds at the moment

Cant wait to get my carbon badges on

Not a fan of black wheels on a black car myself , it's just a little too much imo . Plus black wheels show up how dirty your tyres are . Just my input ;)

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
Cheers pal, they where a fantastic investment

Thinking of painting the inlet manifold matte black :/

That is fair enough mate, each to their own. I just prefer them as I think that the 3rd brake light is well integrated into it's shape :)

I'd have to agree with this. IMHO 172 Cup Turinins in Silver look really well on a BG 182

Like you say, everyone's own opinion. Might look a lot better in the flesh.

i would like them a dark anthracite like the amg alloys at start of thread but for some reason mine never come out like them

Cheers for the replies guys

what do people think of a matte black manifold and rail ..... (Don't know the full name)

anyone ways to give the engine a spruce clean

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
That looks fantastic, you're tempting me to buy some!!
i heard there's a difference between cup and trophy turinis if so what?

cheers

  PH2 RS172
from what ive read because im after some - trophy turinis have a better offset than cup turinis which in turn fills out the arches better. my 172 5 spokes look like shopping trolley wheels now ive lowered it and i cant seem to find a better looking wheel than a turini (+ some spacers i think) to swap them with. aftermarket wheels seem to look too mcdonalds carpark for a clio and im getting too old to pull that look off lol ;-)

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
Okay so trophy turinis are the ones to have

Yes clio sport Forum don't like any other alloys haha which in fairness turinis do look the best

What do people think to spacers, a member on here sells them axle/hub spacers for the rear so want a set of them but what do people have on the fronts

What coil overs do people have on a full fat clio as I know fk silver lines only go on non cup

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
Been having a issue with my rear brakes clanking against the disk, found out to be the carrier

is this common as I've purchased a used calliper instead of paying £85 for just the carrier

Am I going to be in the same place in 6 months time?

You won't need spacers if you buy Genuine Trophy Turinis as they are the same offset as normal 182's .

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
Perfect

Does anyone know how to remove both diamonds? I've bought carbon fibre babadges front comes with the black plastic backing attached and the rear is the handle with the diamond in it so any guides that can shed some light?

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
Evening everyone

So basically I got home from work and thought I would crack on with fitting my new carbon fibre diamonds and my alloy foot rest

So I cracked on with the rear diamond first

After doing the rear diamond I went onto my ally foot rest ( gone dark by this point!! )

8508302150_49a5abbd2a_z.jpg

Once fitted I went onto putting the front diamond on but by this point it was pitch black so I had to get my working hanger light out

Sorry about pic quality, got darker quicker than expected

I hope to be ordering a new set of cooksports, new dampers and rear discs and bearings soon

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
Also does anyone know of any matte black paint I could use for the inlet manifold and rail guard??

Then I would polish off the writing so a shiny metal silver

I just used basic matte black paint for mine.. Worked quite well imo

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
Took a few pics of the front diamond as it was dark by the time it was fitted

Car needs a major clean this weekend!!

I have also had some puddle lights fitted on to the door - Look great when open but bit tacky when open

what do people think?

Hi guys

so as the weekend started yesterday I thought I would give my car a good clean as I finish work at 12

firstly started with some iron x on he wheels and on the bottom half of the car

8519465816_65305b5466_z.jpg

As you can see how dirty the car was

Then I snow foamed the car while the iron x was working away

8521384320_fbee598336_z.jpg

then once I had done this washed it all off then give the car a wash using chemical guys citrus shampoo then to dry the car I used a fatty orange microfibre towel

Then I used gloss work glaze all over the car

Il upload the rest later

  BG 182 FF
That looks great cleaned up mate! Can't wait to give mine a go over again, might try and do it tomorrow again. Bought a new Megs Dual Action G220 v2 polisher and waiting for it to arrive, Im itching to do some paint correction!

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
Also could you link me to that guide mate?

http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?284045-Auto-wipers-pissing-you-off&highlight=sensor

There you go pal

Its pretty easy and made such a difference for mine

Cheers for the comments

Im looking on purchasing a DA polisher in the following weeks - just need to look into how to use one properly, dont fancy F***ing up my paint so i might purchase a old black bonnet as they say black is the hardest to machine polish

What do people reckon with the inlet manifold and rail guard?

Polish up (shiny) or go for a matt black with polished up Renaulyt sport detail

Cheers Guys

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
Ordered quite a few products from chemical guys and idetailing (ironx)

finally put a drawing in at work for my spacers to be made for the rear

think my next purchase will be either cooksports or eibachs with some fresh dampers

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
I decided to make my self some hub spacers

Ive gone for 15mm so need to purchase myself some longer bolts but cant wait to see the wheels pushed further out, should look good

Anyone who wants a set give us a shout and can sort some out at a £

8557063288_60858bb6c0_z.jpg

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
Is it best to shave them down to 10mm then? dont want to add more camber as itl just use tyres a lot quicker

  BG Clio 182 - Recaro
Yes im using 205/45/16's

Hasnt been lowered or anything as of yet

I might fit one and see how it fits and then decide on how much needs to be taken off

What size bolts did you use? presuming i need longer bolts but dont know how long

Cheers Pal

  BlackGold 182
Get the bolts 15mm longer than what the standards are, I don't no what size they are tbh. Pm ed.innit on here who supplied loads of people with hub spacers and bolts, he will know.

what other plans you got?
