ClioSport 182
I have been chasing down an odd sound on my 182 for some time now. The sound is basically a metallic popping sound (like popcorn) coming from the boot area.
Slowly I have been dismantling the boot area, removing plastic bits, etc. to locate the sound. I think that finally today I have found it!! It would seem that the boot seal has come away in a few places. Photos attached:

If I press on the black sealant where it has come away it makes the dreaded sound!
Is there a DIY way of fixing this? What is the black stuff anyways, some kind of silicone sealer? ... or do I need to go back to Renault as the car is still under warranty?
I would prefer to fix it myself if I can.
