Brace yourself

Bought a set of second hand strut braces yesterday, the rear carbon one is so light its untrue! I wouldnt of paid full price for them mind you, but they look nice and will hopefully stiffen the car up slightly, let the "the rear strut does nothing" flame begin.

Only just fitted the seats yesterday (cheers djroberts) and I love them! Strangly they make me wanna drive quicker as they hug me really well They weigh around 17kg each, which is a fair ammount but as the standards are 33+kg im happy with nearly a standard seats ammount of weight saved. Black 4 point Luke harness coming in Oct when funds allow.

Cant paint the rocker cover though dude, cams needs to come out Is it possible to remove the cam cover without causing any other issues?

Yes, could only fit one bolt each side atm as my drill bit bent

looks great. seats are awesome. both braces just add weight tho imo, nothing against them, its just i felt no difference at all with front and rear braces fitted.

Hey its luke another EA meet dodger rear adds basicly no weight its so light, front is slightly heavier of course but nothing major really.

my car was running 181.2 on jabbasports rr. will be interesting to see how it does on a different rr.

Sounds high for a standard ish 182? This RR is decent, gave a standard 6 month old 100bhp 1.2 turbo mk3 101bhp Realistic results to be had from here. £27 for 2 runs and a print out, bargin, get your ass down on the 18th!

that is a good price. i could well be coming to that then

Was thinking more TB, lover inlet, and engine mount . Think top cambelt cover comes off easily, or is that the rocker cover?

Seem ok so far but havnt noticed a real difference yet, only driven to work and back mind you Ride is already uber stif from the coilovers tbh.

Guess you will coming to the CS Snetterton track day next year? Should be decent but awhile away yet of course

yea i will be mate enjoyed the day i did there earlier in the year. nearly got everything sorted now except clutch. got car back from sprayers so my front end is ready to be stone chipped again.

Go down the B1108 and time yourself then i'll see if the strut braces are worth it lol
