Brake problem..

  Peugeot 308
Found out a couple of weeks ago the car may have a fault...

Basically giving it some s**t down some nice lanes, coming upto a stop sign I apply the anchor's...uhh nothing but a solid pedal with the usual kicking.

The car wasn't stopping, it took the best part of 50 metres for car to stop (which led me across a junction and onto another road without me having any control at all)

After that brown moment I decided to go on a level straight piece of road and attempt an emergency stop. That was fine.

Thought nothing of it after that, then a week later, it done it again.

It seems to me whenever the ground is not 100% flat and perfect this fault appears and my brakes are utter s**t.

Anyone else had this?

My Guess would be either

1) Really crap Discs / Pads / Fluid and you are suffering Brake Fade when the Brakes get hot.

2) Glazed Pads where they have not been cycled correctly during bedding it.

pedal sensor? got to be a little worrying that. Glazed pads wouldn't cause complete lack of braking like that. It would still slow, but badly. Same with disc/pads.

Yeah, that's not pads or disc related.

I'd get the ABS sensors tested and have a look in the footwell for something obvious with the pedal/pedal sensor.
