Brakes sparking

i was out last night with a few friends ( some wicked cars which inc, r34 gtr v-spec, 2x r33 gtr, rx7, itr dc2, escort rst, r5 gtt, 2x valvers and me in hybrid) all doing abit of hardcore driving was told by a few that while braking from high speed my brakes were sparking like mad and looked like i had a set of sparklers behind my wheels was also told it was shooting massive flames from exh brakes were awesome all night and held up very well with no signs of fade what so ever and they did get a beating. im running wilwood dynalites with wilwood fast road pads and 285mm discs. should the brakes spark under these conditions?

Are you running the plain brake disk or vented?

discs are drilled and vented, not the my personal choice but came with the kit. they do have a 1mm lip on and need changing soon but im having trouble finding replacements....

The Renault 21 TXI (2.0 liter) model used those disks

Personaly I'd get brakcets made up so you can use the 280mm disk as there much easier to get hold of.
