Brembo HC's and EBC Greens on!

  Saab 93 Aero Wagon
Just finished doing the changeover and i have to say that was pretty darn easy to do.

Handy having all the tools and a proper lift ramp but even doing it on a driveway would be pretty straightforward.

Now just to bed them in....handy having a disused bit of industrial road near where i work. Spot on for bedding in new brakes

Well i've barely taken the top layer off the discs but they already feel good.

Gonna give it a run out tonight and put them thru a proper heat cycle.

Too right i do! After the recent improvements its right in a sweet spot....i can't get enough of it!

Good timing as well!

Well i've heard they don't make a great deal of difference, so i didn't bother.

The standard lines are pretty beefed up anyway and i'm not overly keen on a rock hard brake pedal.

No 'mong' in particular actually.
As i said, im not overly keen on a rock hard pedal, and being a Cup, im pretty sure the likelyhood of me locking it up under hard braking is more of a possibility if it has barely any pedal travel.

Also the car won't be tracked so its not imperative.

I went out in Timsclio172's car whos got that exact setup (I think) and I fudged my nickers big time! I think he did too, we had a blast in mine then he did the same in his and woah brown stains all round!
I was running tarox setup & standard lines and had mucho more stopping power...

Same setup with Braidedlines.

Much better "feel" with better stopping!! can't fault it.

(normal day to day driving with NO track use)

Well they got well and truly bedded in tonight. Took the Cup across from Woking to Weybridge with a few short dual carriage "chutes" along the way that were near enough deserted so i gave it beans and then threw the anchors out near enough as late as i'd dare.....

F**K ME!!! Nearly gave myself a seatbelt induced injury....the stopping power is now stunning...
The second time i tried it i actually locked everything up for a brief moment as my usual point of reference for threshold braking was obviously miles off as i was used to the old setup.

A superb braking set up in my opinion.

this is the kit that im looking at doing for the next group buy, just incase anyone like fred/andy from yozz or any other person that can supply this kind of brake set up some one pm what deal you can do.

Well just so you know, i got the EBC Greens off of Ebay on a Pay Now for £49 inc p+p and the Brembo HC's from GDI for £71, so you can easily get this setup for £120.

Obviously if you want braided lines then you'd pay more but i still stand by my view that they aren't vital.

Always pays to shop around....you'll pay less than you think.

I know mate! I actually live over Guildford way but im over Woking and Weybridge way quite a bit.

You should come along to the meets coming up...there is Westerham on the 29th then the Run to Brighton on May 6th.
