World at War was my favourite, and all the modern futuristic cods are awful, cant wait for this!

World at war was great, I might get back into cod for this one. I might even revisit WAW and try finish that bloody veteran run through!

Meh, not sure call of duty will pull this off like people are hoping. Cod3 was great as it was before all the gimmicks and s**t, world at war seemed good to start with until people could just add red dot sights made of glass and s**t 😂.

This might make me go back to the series.
The last few games have been absolutely terrible imo.

Like said above though I hope they don't throw some random s**t.

Perks such as stealth bombers and other s**t that didn't exist in ww2.

The last one I played was Black Ops 2, that wasn't as good as the first either.

Trouble is, most of their business model is based on trinkets, DLCs and other crap that you can buy. Similarly, I saw a coloured knife going for sale on CS:GO on Friday for £351. Worse - someone had previously bought one at a similar price. It's a knife. In a game. Get a grip.

As much as we all seem to what a robust and solid WW2 FPS, the additional crap will undoubtedly creep in. You need to keep the drip-feeds of cash coming in and worse with a WW2 setting - is that the kit and equipment should really have existed. The beauty of the future stuff is that they've had a blank canvas with which to add more purchasable items.

I'd personally like to see more Pacific campaign settings - especially lesser known battles. I just don't know how well that would translate into an enjoyable game for the public majority, though?

I loved and lived in the original ww2 CODs. I hope this achieves what we want it to but I don't have high hopes. After being a big cod fan for many years, I have'nt bothered the the latest ones.

21 posts and not one person has pointed out that it's a blatant Battlefield 1 rip off (except different WW obvs)

I hope it's s**t and they stop making these terrible games

Obvious was obvious. I feel they are a bit late to the party with this.

Unless it's world war 2 with ray guns, then immense

Whatever they do with it i reckon it'll be the lowest selling one in years. My son and his mates played tfe current one for a few weeks, now they don't touch it. They lived in the previous one. They ain't bothered at all for WW2 guns and not being able to double jump across the map!

Apart from being a different war? Eventually they were bound to circle around to WW2 again.

Fingers crossed it'll be entertaining, it'd be good to get tanks etc shoehorned into this one.

But at the same time there are a lot of people who hate the futuristic settings and can't be arsed with all the floating around maps.

I tried playing the newest one yesterday, lasted about 5 minutes, Utter shite just waiting for MW2 to download and be straight on that.

So will this just be same old shitty small maps remastered to look like WW2?

I used to love COD but it lost me at Ghosts. New ones are even worse.

BF1 has stepped up another level with the maps and the variety is just awesome. The operations open up a whole new game.

I hope this is decent, but I'm not going to be convinced by trailers.

From what I've seen (which is very limited) they are adding a carbon copy of operations.
They are also adding a social hub area like Destiny.

I hope it is decent but we'll see.

I'm not buying it until it's been out a while, fed up of buying COD games on release day for them to be shite.

Original games maybe should stay a decent memory sometimes.

I was being nice when I said crap

Yeah I saw some multiplayer footage of the "operations" style mode, map looked so narrow and it seemed like the same old gameplay.
