just spoke to them now and he said that they checked over all pulleys and tensioners concerning cambelt and aux so he finks its 1 of the air con pulleys. he said they can increase in noise wiv revs aswell as being noisy wen the fing isnt even turned on! is he havin me on or is this possible?

It is possible, the pulley is always turning but has a clutch which engages it to the pump when you turn the air con on. I'd think there would be some change in the noise when the air con is switched on though may be wrong.

Think you may be best to get them to get a stethoscope in there and see what is making the noise.

Thing is, the tensioners have a bad name for doing this and if yours is quite old I'd still suspect it was that.

Looks like time for a garage trip unfortunately. If something causes the aux belt to fail or slip off, your nice new timing belt will probably go with it, lunching the engine.

the pulley for the aircon will be constant with revs regardless if aircon is on or off. So sounds about right. Either way you have waste dno money, everything has been done thats needed to be done. Now this is another new issue. good luck
