can anyone translate this

Hi,
Im Spanish. I know a bit of English but some words are difficult to me.
In an old topic appear the next text about 4k rattle:

"We found that one of the bolts in the 3rd from front heat shield, was touching the body, thus causing the noise. We spaced the bolt out with a washer and low and behold, the noise vanished"

I need to know what is the meaning of "heat shield".

Thanks a lot.

Bueno, voy a intentar traducirla ...

Good, I am going to try to translate it...

"We found that of the nuts in the third heat protector it was
touching carroceria and then causing the noise. We put a space
between the nut and carroceria with a washer, and the noise went
away."

The truth is not that I either that this is a "protector of heat" but
in the world of motorcycles using to protect the heat of the quiet one
of moto.

I hope that that helps you!

Conclusion : Never use online translators , they suck

Ha ha ha ... just goes to show nothing can beat actually learning a second language rather than relying on on-line translators!! :)
