Canon 350D kit - 420 pounds... would you?

  Cupra
I have been saving up money as we are planning on buying a house but now one of the local shops is selling the 350D & kit lens for 620 Euro = 420 pounds.... That is 100 less than it can normally be bought for. Offer ends today.

Do I:

1) Upset the wife, and buy the camera now!
2) Wait for another special offer after we have bought the house
3) Open up a few cold beers, sit in the sun and forget all about cameras for the day.

Ideas on a postcard please!

Thats a very good price, remember you'll also need memory and the store may offer extended warranty and accident cover. You'll also need a UV filter to go on the lense to prevent scratching.

Then before you know it you'll want a cheap tripod and more lenses :D

I've got the 350D with two lenses and battery grip etc. A camera u will never regret buying but, I think 2 & 3 as well. Sorry m8.

So many things to buy! :approve: And yes you will need a polariser as well!

I never leave home without my polariser when going out with my camera. Hoya filters all the way m8. Reasonable prices, depending on size, and good results too. Chipped ur UV then eh? I guess that's better than chipping your lense though.

Yeah tiny little mark, not sure how it happened, probably taking roadside pictures or leaving it in someone elses hands to hold. Leaves a tiny tiny red dot in wide angles images, spot healer tool sorts it out easily enough.

Will deffo have to look into buying some filters..

Some really nice pics m8. Top job. Got some pics on Photobox but not with my 350D. They were taken with my Panasonic FZ20. Still got it but, only take it to places I wouldn't wanna take the 350 D to.

Only joined the site yesterday because I picked up my 182 on Friday. Loving it and really looking forward to taking it on my photography jaunts!

Cool. Lovely sky in that one. I always use Photobox now. They have regular offers and the service is really good.

Just got back with camera in hand......Feeling very happy with the new toy. Downside is that the instruction manual is only in French and Dutch.

IIRC Jessops are currently doing a Nikon D50 Twin Lense kit for £399 I think the store I saw it was either Staines or Windsor.
