Cant get fuel filler nozzle in the filler tube??

Went to get petrol yesterday and the little flap inside the fuel pipe wont open to allow the nozzle to go in? had to push it open with a flat skrew driver and hold it upwards. Has this happend to anyone else? and can i just buy the filler cap bit to fix it?

surely if you can push it open with screw driver then the nozzle would also push it . . .

nah i need to pull it backwards opening out the way with the skrewdriver as it wont open in the way. very strange as it just randomly happend :S

New filler neck required then - scrap yard item from any Clio II Ph1 will do just fine or you can go to Renault and spend a small fortune for a brand new one.
