Can't read Windows Key :-(

Morning,

I did a fresh install of windows vista on my girlfriend laptop but I now cant read the some of the cd key that is on the bottom of the laptop because its worn in areas.

How do I get about this, is there a number that would let me talk to someone directly at microsoft?, I've dialed a few but it doesnt let me speak to anyone.

A 59.24 Minute phone call to tech support later.... All they needed was the number on the dvd and the Product ID number (Computer propertys)...yet it took them an hour to give me a new key! Crazy :-(

lol there's a piece of software i used recently which finds the product key for vista and other software e.g office.

at least you got it sorted.

next time, google is your friend!!
