  1.5 Clio Dynamique
i dont know what area this thread would go in so i put it in general chat

Anyway i took my car in for its mot on saturday (which it failed on a couple of points but it is a 1.2 clio with 113k on the clock and isnt sounding the healthiest tbh). so i thought ok itll cost about £100 to get it fixed for a mot pass

But before that i had been looking for a new car (preferably diesel) to replace it and in the garage down the road there is a 1.4tdci 56plate fiesta with 37000miles on the clock for £6695 that i had seen after i got the clio back and i am really interested in as it ticks all the boxes for a car that i am looking for

now im imbetween 2 minds weather to part ex the clio for this fiesta and get it on finance (not being conned with a stupidly high apr rate) or get the clio sorted and wait til it goes pop one day to buy another car.

Either way im going to be spending money on either interest or maintenance on a car that is nearly dead

Any ideas?

well if you spend money on the clio to bring it back to life, you will have the same result as if you buy a fiesta (i.e you would have spent money) so it depends on whether you want a new car or not, rather than any practical reason.

I think paying pennies to keep your current car going is probably the best current plan of attack. Sorry to hear about the work situation hope things pan out for the better im sure alot of people on here are in similar boats.

Taking on finance probably isnt the wisest move at this point IMO
