Carbon Clio @ Garage near Tongham, Surrey - HS04

Car  Full Fat 182
Looking tidy. That's my mate of mines sleeper Fiesta behind yours which has had a major overhaul the past 6 months. Get a peek under the bonnet if you can before you shoot off :)

What's the Fiesta had done to it?

I'll ask him specifically whats been done and post it down. There's so much custom stuff and so much changed and I don't want to write it down wrong. It got started for the first time last week... I went and took this little vid. It really doesn't do the car justice and there was no coolant in the car so we were mega tame.. it really does sound awesome though. It should be complete on Saturday, that's when the MOT was due last time I checked and literally all that was left was putting in a few bits like the coolant and checking over the car to make sure it's all working properly.

Looks to be a 2.0 16v ST170 engine on throttle bodies - should be around 200-210bhp if done properly I would imagine

Aye custom throttle bodies, exhaust and ECU... I don't think it's the ST170 engine though. Saying that, you're about right on the BHP. It may be... There's this Fiesta and a guy who lives just down the road from where this is being built who's building up a Capri... I've got it abit mixed up in my head which one has what in it!

Unless he has changed the rocker cover it is an ST170 engine - badged as a Duratec it is actually a 2.0 16v Zetec with vvti built in. This engine was only available on the ST170's though.

Yup Robbie you were right... don't know why I didn't think so, even though I knew it was an ST170 engine something was telling me it wasn't. The car was due to be out on the road from tomorrow afternoon but unfortunately the alternator had to be sent away at the start of the week to have some tweeks done but it's not back yet. Soon as the car's all up together I'll get a few pics and a vid to update :)

Still the bigger question for me is who owns the Clio? Hopefully the owner or someone who knows him will spot it soon! Looks like a quality build... other than the seats. They really need upgrading they were some cheapy motorsport ones. Sure they'll be sorted out though, seems everything else is right with the car.

My Clio may be in the garage soon... I'm wanting to get some AeroCatches fitted and don't have the tools / don't fancy making a pigs ear of the bonnet. I'll ask Richard the owner of the garage if he knows anything about it.

that will be mine :)
and yeah that fiesta has had alot of work to get that engine in there, bit of a squeeze.

ha finally, took your time there! So what's the deal with the front spoiler... is it custom? Great job on the car, seem's like a right track machine. Apart from the seats :o But the rest is tip top

Ha I have been on just didnt see the post.
Yeah splitter is a one off. Brought it off friend of a friend with the bonnet and boot. Think he paid alot to get it made. I like it tho :)
its a work in progress, hopefully get cage soon and can get some nice harness's.
the seats arnt bad actualy, got them cheap enough, new there about 350 each. But hopefully I should be getting a nice one donated as it goes out of date.
Hopefully lot more track time this year!

Oh right ok. They must of cost a small fortune. If u ever get to selling the car on could you drop me a PM? I'm wanting another Clio to track with and I would snap up yours

What garage is this in Tongham? I swear there is only challenger 4x4 in tongham and that's about it :/

Interesting stuff with the fiesta, I will have to keep and eye out for it.

The guy owns a garage on a farm site Matt.. Poyle farm on Poyle road. Really clued up, project orientated guy if u ever need some work doing.

Went to get a few bits checked over on my car today so couldn't resist the temptation...
