Im currently driving a mk1 172 which is just awesome (pity about Renault though)

but I might be ableto get hold of a mint Polo 2.0 16v turbo for half the price of the Clio.

The Polo is black, in mint condition, at 0.5bar puts out 227hp and at 1.1bar puts out 335hp (both figures @ wheels)

Because of altitude the 172 only makes 115hp @ wheels (probably a bit more now with the decat) which is good, but still leaves something to be desired.

What do you guys reckon? My only concern is maintenance on the Polo, but hopefully keeping the boost down to at most 0.5 bar it should be fine

humm 335hp ATW sound a bit unliky 1.1 bar about douibles the normal aspirated power so without the turbo the engine makes ~190hp at the fly so its either had loads of work or the cars been done on LADs RR.

Id worry about it the Polo with that tunning will be more problems IMO than a 172.

Seems way to low your cars have you had someone look at it it should be closer to 140 ATW.
