Im just wounder is there any side effects from chroming/polishing the plenum/fuel rail guard and engine mounting of a 172? heat?

I see alot of people polish the inlet pipes but leave the Renault Sport plaque standard, is this just preference?

sorry if this seems stupid lol

The renaultsport is often left because it is so hard to polish properly. I've given it a good go on mine and it looks ok but is by no means perfect. There are no side effects from polishing it up. These are the best pics i have of the main part, no close ups of the renault sport, however as you can see doesnt look too bad

it was approx 60 quid just for the bloke to finish the bits off, but it was mostly done by the previous person with sandpaper/dremel
