Chrome/Silver MKII 172 Mirrors

This was posted in another thread but it was off topic so it was getting lost so I wanted to post a new thread.

This is the 172 Turbo from Mexico that was posted a while back.

I love those chrome/silver wing mirrors, where can I get them ? Tomclio182 did some searching and found some covers but I dont think these are covers and I dont think they are simply Silver 172 mirrors on a Black 172.

ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN THEM FROM ?

If K-Tec Racing is reading this, will you be stocking these at all in the future ?

agreed, i think we discovered momo did them if i recall.

Could someone make real carbon ones as well?

Sorry, you are right, take a look at this V6, they are the same covers :

I found some Momo covers but they had Momo written on them so I thought they were the wrong ones but as shown above they are right. These are the covers I found, clearly not the same ones as on the Black 172 Turbo above :

So the question is, where can I get them from ? Think they would look wicked and different on my Monaco Blue 172. Do they go over the exisiting mirrors or do you take off the existing shell and replace it with the Momo ones do you think ?

I think the Autodynamica Clio just has painted OE items.

Now that is a good (and obvious) point ! LOL ! Are they chrome or silver ? If a bodyshop could match them to the silver on the door plate I think they would look good ?

Do you think these will look good ? Or cheap ?

Viv, the springs are not on the car yet, they are being delivered today and fitted on the weekend. Will let you know Monday !

If i were you, get trawling the web for crashed Clios and buy some second hand mirror covers for a few quid and try it out.

If you are going to get that done then defo get brushed ally to match the 172 door badge. Painted or chrome would look tacky IMO.

It will be the same colour as the door plate, nothing else will be acceptable, I want it to match that colour. A bodyshop should be able to match it shouldnt they ?
