Clio 172 36k service - what did you pay?

  VaVa
Once my car's back from the stealers I'll be needing a service. wondered what the going rate was for 36k inc aux belt?

Any tuners/garages feel free to put up your prices also.

So far then;

GDI - £350
RenTech - £250
Hull somewhere - 10p mix and a blowie
YozzaSport - ?
Angelworks? -

I reckon a local garage would be cheaper... but I'm not sure how big a job the aux belt is. Don't want them f**king my motor up basically. lol

Mine is in next Wednesday. Been quoted £206 by Renault Cannock. I'm guessing they've missed off the aux belt in that though. Luckily that was done under warranty 2k ago so it doesn't need doing anyway.

  LY 200
GDI - £350
RenTech - £250
Hull somewhere - 10p mix and a blowie
YozzaSport - £350 - last time I asked
Angelworks? -
Renault - £400 - £500 (NW area)

Its the labour charges at Renault that bump it up so much im sure they told me 3 hours lol

  M4 LCI, X1, ZX10R
Carlton Garage in Exmouth is cheapest i've found.

I paid less than £200 for my 36k service, no air filter though, but with full syn oil.

Your "point" has yet to have anything to do with Labour rates. I'm not going to waste my time by entertaining a pointless arguement with you any further.

Where you based?

Few Renault specialists around these parts (Hinckley/Nuneaton) not sure on their prices though. Lemme get their details, might be worth a call if you're near by.

Based in the Mids fella (Staffs). I remember Nick Hill recommending a garage in Nuneaton to me for servicing aaaages ago but I've forgotten the name of the place!

Yozza's only 30 mins away... but is £100 more expensive than RenTech... which is 176 miles away, so basically a tank of fuel which is £50 give or take. Not sure if I can be arsed to do a 350 mile round trip to save £50!

But I like Mikes face, and could always make a day of it lol.

daft q but u are aware it takes most garages more than a day todo so a trip to the south coast is a bit more involved.
Im having mine done at the moment but by my uncle and i'll ask his 'normal rate' if u want as its not a massive trip for you (other side of derby)

I wasn't aware it took more than a day! That changes things a bit.

If you could get a price off your uncle that would be great fella. Cheers.

I think it could be done in a day but would be a full days work (bout 3 hours then knowing most mechanics ;) ) but i doubt many garages would gaurantee same day. I spoke to nick hill who deffo said 2 days not to mention £500 as had air con ! Will get car back later so find out m8 and let you know.

got my car back but he's not sure on the price the stuff cost untill he gets his invoice. Was a 2.5 hour job so thats the main cost. Having looked at the box of kit he left on (Reno pn) ive found this via a search on here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Renault-Clio-...ryZ10410QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
which is the exact kit which is required. This apprently goes for £158 when bought fron Renault !!! so for anyone looking at an aux belt it would be sooo much cheaper to buy the bits yourself (bloke sells loads via ebay)
Laingo, will let you know price but poss worth asking Yozza as they are closest to you if it can be done in a day ?

I wouldn't go there edde, I made a comment along those lines also made a couple of relevant points. Then another forum user (who will remain nameless) decided to make stupid remarks trying to provoke an arguement with me which had nothing to do with labour rates. All of the posts subsequently got removed.

Loony, myself and everybody else on the forum appreciate edde's posts which are always well informed. You'd already thrown your toys at Maz in your typical bull in a china shop style. Lets try to stay on topic shall we?

Laingo did you try the above contacts, be interested in the price myself.
