Clio 172 facelift satnav problem

hi ive just bought a clio 172, its a 2002 ph2

it has a factory sat nav system built in with a small screen,

when you turn ignition on no display appears on the screen, then if i turn the stereo on it will play the radio then after 5 secs "bleep" then play the radio and "bleep" again,

ive bought a new sat nav cd and checked all connections but no luck!

it could maybe be the screen its self or the headunit?? all help welcome

Has it ever worked ? Did you see it working when you got the car ?

What cd did you get ?? It should be a carminat/vdo dayton cd iirc (my old boy has it in his car, I got him a new cd a while ago)

the dealer i bought it from said hes not sure why its not working! but it is such a mint car i wasnt going to let it go because the satnav didnt work!

i got a carminat uk and ireland cd!

The beeping is a fault code I guess.

Try the dealer to get some error searching schematics....or try the manual, of the nav, there should be some error recognisation mentioned in it.

PM me if you still have problems.

I've heard about some frozen navs, which can occur if the system is updated with wrong software versions. (which I hope is not in your case)
