Had the car just over a week, bough from a reputable dealer (not renault) and the alternator died on me last night!
All lights went out, then speedo & radio etc, just side lights working and very dim dash lights. Pulled over and the car wouldn't even tickover! - great!
The recovery chap did a quick test and confirmed the alternator, all was fine when hooked up to a charger.
I just called renault and was quoted £576 for the job? - are they having a giggle? or is this normal money for this sort of job.
It will be covered under warranty regardless..
Just rely on the car day to day so its a pretty big inconvenience! Is it a possible DIY job?
