Clio Maxim S (1996) Rev - Counter

Hello all,

I am now the proud owner of a Clio Maxim S, it is quite a well kept car and has quite a few mods. The only niggling problem with it is that the rev counter is intermittant. Sometimes it works other times it appears dead. Are there any ideas on why this is so? Many thanks,

Also, just a note; no difference is made if I tap the rev counter housing. (I know it sounds daft but I just thought it may make a difference). Any ideas will be welcome. (Please be gentle, I am a newbie!!!)

No it is a P (96) reg. Any ideas what it could be then?...

mine did that. ended up having to replace the dials if thats any help to you mate.

on the note of maxim s. I wanna know where i can get one, they seem pretty rare.. the valver blue or black are the only colours ive seen and both look nice.

if anyone knows where there is one for sale, please could u pm me some details..

Hwllo Chewy! I bought mine 4 days ago and yesterday the head gaskett blew!! Pricey but unavoidable! If you are going to buy a Maxim S be wary of the water levels and temperature gagues etc. It has cost me!! But it isnt my mates fault who sold me the car!

Do a Search on AutoTrader - theres about 7/8 Nationally, some with very low mileage.

they are not 16v blue, lighter. Dont think they came in black thought.
