Wasn't really looking for a car to buy, but when i came across this for low money i had to react.

Soo ph quick, 1st owner, 74k miles. Car was bought by a guy that passed it on to his daugher when she got her driving licence. Was waay under priced. Except two white lines, everything is oem, i've fitted omp wheel and strongflex dogbone.
On the way home roller from timing belt has degraded and it has bent intake valves.. The following has been changed. Intake valves, head work, dephaser, timing belt, water pump, aux belt, rollers, antifreeze & thermostat, head, intake, exhaust gasket, engine mount, camshaft seals, crankshaft pulley, spark plugs, oil, valve stem seals.

The car just feels great, pulls like a train. Down side is the suspension and brakes, but that will get sorted.

What's a french car without a jack..

A lot has been done since i wrote here..
The biggest change was the brakes.
At the front brembo maxx discs with ebc yellow pads, calipers refurbished and painted ( front and rear ), braided brake lines and ate typ 200 brake fluid. At the back trw discs with ferodo perf. pads.
Also changed engine mount and a megane splitter at the front. Did oil & filter as well. Exhaust hangers were changed but did no good, fell apart after 1 week..

And fitted summer wheels, 16 f1 paired with ns2r

Next on to do list is suspension and cleaning interior & getting rid of 2 white stripes haha

Friday drive..

Polished the headlights and ceramic coating..

Sanded and polished side marks..

And ph1, wich was by far the ugliest looking to me, is slowly growing to my heart

Woah.. A lot's has been done since the last time i wrote here..

So, the whole interior dissasembled, doors and bit of trunk damped, got prepared for amp & sub. Seats, floor mat & plastic deep cleaned. New panel clips.

New exhaust, oil change, new exhaust mounts and car started making really strong fuel smell on start up, even though the lambda is new i bought another new oem, but didn't solve the problem. I will try to clean the injectors. Also pipercross intake. Will take it off over winter.

New bits like rear wiper and boot shocks.

And currently counting 85k miles on the clock or 138 000 kilometers.

Almost forgot. Got cup shocks paired with eibach sportline, transformed the ride!

Yes, the roads on Croatian coast with a mix of hinterland is amazing to drive, tons of twists is exactly what this car wants

Managed to kill Ate typ 200 in less then 6 months, time for RBF 660.

Also got "new" injectors wich solved the problem of running rich and not starting instant when warmish.

Where to start..

Bought 2 sets od 2118.
Silver are clio cup racer et 43. 7.5KG weight, and white ones are et 38 road edition, 8.9KG weight. Primarly i bought white ones because of better ET to replace silver ones, but when i saw the weight difference i was shocked.. So the silver ones are staying.

Came in terrible shape, after a bit of polish they looked like new.

Fixed broken seat folding lever.

Gave the stock 15 f1 a spray over in black. They will be used as winter setup as this car is my daily.

Washed the steering wheel

Replaced lower ball joints & idle control valve

Restored throttle pedal & cleaned throttle body

Returned STD airbox with K&N panel

Aaand something that has been on my mind for quite some time but never got around sorting it. Door handles were in bad shape so i painted them. I think the paint is spot on. I'll put what paint i used, you're welcome

So...
Plan was to get the rear bumper off and see why it's hanging on driver side, but things got out of control

Dissasembled side skirts, fenders, and bumpers in search of rust.. All pictures will be followed with description

But first of all, group picture of my wheels

Started with rear bumper, i thought at least 1 clip was broken but i had luck and everything was on it's place, but just bad mounted.. The car backed up into something because the bumper was repainted ( badly ) and the metal was a bit bent.

In process of getting rear exhaust hanger off, 1 nut decided to spin..

I was planning on washing inside of bumper and rear of car, but could not resist my urge to get side skirts off and peek under it..
Let's remove everything

Below side skirt everything was fine, but under the fender is where the real party is...

I picked up the screwdriver and closed my eyes.. On my joy it didn't go through!!

So let's get this sorted. Bought steel wire wheel for the grinder, anti rust, primer for iron, and 3m stonechip film..

Straightened the jacking point..

The real cause of rust..

While i was at it, first thing i did was washing the wheel arches..

Now we can focus on rust..

Washing wheel arch plastic..

And patching up some things..

So, to pick up where i left..

Passenger side treated with stone chip, closed the openings with caps.

Side skirts polished and bits straightened

New clips for wheel arch liners and new rivets for side skirts

Took the oportunity to take down headlights and rinse it inside, because the lens were dusty.

Washed a bit

Arch liners coated and ready to go on the car

Polished the door frame

And the front bumper got it's turn... It was loose as a nanny's vag, literally the lower part of it was not secured by anything and when i took it off, i saw why it was like that..

Plastic either cracked or was not secured..

So first things first, some cleaning and paint..

I made an L bracket from plastic, to hold the undertray in it's place as OEM, but reinforced.. Also new rivets. Now its rock solid

Of course, the next morning it had to rain..

Next on my to do list of greater things is to re paint the bonnet, roof and front bumper

Haven't post here in a while..

Installed rear 10mm shim spacers and time has come to replace OEM clutch and repair the gearbox and install diff plate.
While we were there i found out the radiator was leaking, so it was replaced by NRF one.
Flywheel lightened, flywheel seal replaced.
Also, sump resealed and cleaned.

Whilst in there one of sump bolts decided to snap it's head off, and in the worst place..

Checked rod bearing, it's in excelent condition...

New fluids, tie rods and ends, powerflex rack bushes and new steering fluid and steering sensor..

New steering wheel, brake oil cap.

DS2500 pads all around, and new brake oil.

Heater matrix started leaking and i had a water leakage through door trim..
Painted the central silver plastic.

Repaired and shortened shocks and finally found blue wing mirror switch.

Managed to source ultraleggeras with R888R's and got K-TEC top mounts.

Also air con leaked in period of 1 year so i replaced all the seals. You have to buy 2 sets to have all the right seals. And the set includes seals for 3 cars.. LOL
