Just wanted to hop in with my first post and say thanks again to everyone at CS for a great event.

Top bants the same as last year and a extremely well ran event.

I have no idea what everyone's usernames are but thank you for all the passenger laps and for nearly making me throw up laughing!

Thanks to @Rojer for the drive up and the (very depressing) drive back. Not so much for your snoring abilities, 10/10 would not recommend.

I had the gimbal out and took a bit of video but ended up talking to people all day so most likely just lots of foot videos. I have some POV video from my glasses and I took about 3000 photos on track though so will go through everything in the next week and put some photos up in the other thread. No telephoto lens this weekend unfortunately so nothing super close on track.

Definitely back for next year but with a car, I can't do another year without driving!

Thanks again everyone!

Glad you've signed up! I'm Rob with the green VX btw.

@NorthloopCup shows more emotional empathy than any man I’ve met…

And I quote “yeah, what you need to do Jon is just bang the c**t off the limiter for 5 minutes, because that c**t is fucked. At least it will be funny”

I’m sure Jonnio felt much better as a consequence 😂😂😂
The reality is my rotund friend, when they’re knocking louder than a smack head at their dealers front door, they’re done.

Cracking few days.

Lovely to meet a few old faces for the first time.

Profile pic t-shirts should be mandatory next year.

Weather was glorious, thanks to whoever arranged that, and of course unending thanks to the CS Team for organising, setting up and everything else involved behind the scenes for a brilliant weekend.

I forgot to say a massive thanks to members that donated prizes to raffle.

I’m not going to list names because I know I’ll forget someone and end up looking like a c*nt.

But you know who you are and I’ll love you forever for helping us to raise money for a charity that’s extremely close to my heart x

Not a problem, glad I was able to help. Hopefully do the same again next year! GOSH carried out surgery on my younger brother when he was 2 so I know they do great work.

Ahh, chaps. What a weekend!

First CSF and, well, it definitely wont be the last. This is going to become an annual thing now for me, without a doubt!

The Chang Chariot went like a rocket all day. No issues whatsoever and the NS2R's were definitely putting in the work! NSF tyre is nice and rounded on the outside shoulder now.....oops. Brakes felt good all day but the poor rear pads were doing gods work - staggered I didnt get black flagged for all the sideways action. Averaged 8mpg on track (@Krarl with the rookie numbers of 14mpg 😘). Also very confused as it seemed to turn into a Prius on the way home with an indicated 48+ mpg.....WTF? Started it up Sunday morning to be greeted with an almighty vibration which had my ringer puckering with the prospect of a 380 odd mile journey home. The noise got worse and worse throughout the journey.....Turns out it was an exhaust clamp that had snapped and the exhaust had sagged onto the V Brace under the car. I almost called @Waitey for a new diff

It was also a real privilege to be able to take people out in the passenger seat for 99% of the day. @Cookie , @Willo40 , @TheEvilGiraffe (who felt poorly after 2 laps and had to get out, diddums), @Rojer , @Barley , @The Psychedelic Socialist , @Cads , @Clio_fool (swear I took you out too?) and some others ive already forgotten! Thanks for joining me as ballast, much appreciated. Had some lovely little tussles with @Krarl and his smoking wheel arch - the boy can peddle!, @Touring_Rob and the green bathtub, @RustyMojo and his dog dick red Gayman and many others. Although I had double the horsepower of some of the stuff on track, with my 114i handling, it made the day really enjoyable. Squirt along the straights, get caught up in the corners and try and get away again. Epic. I only wish id gone full @MarkCup and had front and rear cameras!

Massive massive thank you to the admin and team running that event. I cant begin to fathom the sheer number of hours that go into something like that. Then you throw in the charity aspect of the day and its even more mindblowing. Over £1000 raised for a brilliant cause. Enjoy those pillows @Touring_Rob

@Filters - Youre a madman in that caterham 🤣. I didnt really introduce myself properly but it was me who said 'Full send, dear boy' as I got in. Oh, and you told me your lovely partner would fondle my balls once inside the Caterham 🤣. Epic work and all for a mega cause too. Fair f**king play to you mate. Id love to have you as a passenger next year and get some coaching off you!

Ill never forget @dann2707 @Krarl & @leeds2592 sat around flicking through my tinder. I laughed way too hard at that. Hilarious. My brain did nearly fall out of my ears. I hope my face wasnt too confused for most of it. I needed f**king subtitles with you lot 🤣. SKELLINGTONS. What happened to @Louis or did one of you have him in your pocket the whole time?

Shoutout to @Daniel for not crashing into me, cheers pal. Although it was close on the corkscrew you nutjob. You realise what that middle pedal is for, right? ;)
A pleasure to meet you nonetheless! And, I finally got to meet the big man himself @Sunglasses_Ron ! @SunglassesStan (hopefully this is who i think it is!) is a real credit to you. Hope you smashed that Sim track time lad!

Mega mega weekend. Sorry to those of you who I met and didnt mention above! Ill edit this as I go and remember some of the people I met! Thanks to all of you for making it awesome!

Hugs and Kisses

Oh yes!! I was stood next to you during the raffle and literally said "Who donates pillows", then I won them, then I realised it was obviously you 😂 😂 😂

Can I just say that the pillows are lush and I not only used one that very night in the mobile camping/workshop/bus but that Mrs Touring Rob was very happy with them also.

I felt like a right pillock when I saw all the other prizes.

Car cleaning kits, tools, vouches for car parts (speaking of which, I really hope KTEC sell BMW parts ....) and then, out of the left field, PILLOWS.

Oh well. All for a good cause. Ill have to find something equally as random to donate next year. Might get an assorted box of Dildos.

I donated a bunch of tools and as soon as I saw the pillows I thought f**k, I'm sure I have a couple of double down duck feather quilts in the samples room (Chinese specials), why didn't I think of that?

I mentioned it in my thread but cheers for the laps, I was giggling like a child every time you got the back end out, I think I started clapping at one point 😂.

It was fun when you got the back end of the car out, too.

Just had a flashback of a proper memorable quote from @J-J 😂😂

(As he was telling us about his time in the Caterham)

“As we went down the back straight and I saw how fast we were going, all I could think of was ‘how will they cut me out of this when it crashes’

😂😂😂😂😂

I laughed a bit too hard as he was regailing us with how claustrophic he felt in it. Sorry @J-J 😂

I'm also sorry for laughing at you @J-J when you were struggling to get in (maybe not though, it was funny)

@Sir Nancy Flowers, the dog dick red Cayman did sound absolutely incredible out there, I was very happy with the bathtub on the whole I think, will be back with more pwargh and grip next year I hope.... and fewer leaks, it was quite amusing working like f**k to catch you in the corners to then watch you cruise missile disappear up the hill. The 140i made a very satisfying WHOOOSH noise when you were on it too.

Like Kralos said earlier, my favourite track action was with you an Kayle, watching you go very sideways and then losing the backend of the bathtub moments later 😂 I think @.Joe must have been in the car with me at the time?

Last year Kyle asked me if Harvey Price was driving my car because it was so slow 😂

I'm also super impressed with how reliable @RSRowe's Megane was, out there solidly and other than tyres melting looked like it was just getting on with it!

All blow and no go! Several people said it sounded nice. I couldn’t hear through the thick pile carpets and air con blasting icy cool air at me (or through the rattling of knackered top mounts and shockers)

Funny you should say that, whilst I was out with you. I was thinking this car is bloody mega, like absolutely awesome. Then the kill switch bolts all fell out and I reminded myself that I was sat next to a sweaty potato in a car that from the factory in 1992 had a fairly shoddy construction, had all the crash protection removed. Parts were falling off it around me and said potato was pulling well over a tonne near a cliff into the sea. What’s worse is I sent my son out with him first.

Wouldn’t change it for the world, cars awesome and so is the spud headed wurzel pedalling it

Ha! Missed a trick there mate!

Any time mate, it was a right good laugh. The bloody thing just wouldnt go in a straight line ! Diff Required @NorthloopCup 👀

I appreciated the clap. And the claps.
Ah yes the raffle! £100 Kesh monies and a model of a Renault 5! Excellent to win albeit who taped all the tenners together. Was that some kind of sick joke? It’s well known I’m a tight git and I looked like a right moron trying to remove the tape and squirrel the cash away inside my bum wallet
'SIXTEEN f**king QUID FOR 4 BOTTLES OF BEER!' You looked like you needed to have a chat with @Rowan - Mortgage Expert after that 🤣

Fanks babes! It was an exceptional thing to watch fly about. I only wish id checked in my rear view mirror at that hairpin where I went sideways, then you copied me and it nearly all went very wrong. @Krarl meanwhile was just thinking 'How the f**king f**k am I going to slow my car down enough to not plough into both those fuckheads'. In all fairness, I was a little preoccupied trying to gather my own car up. I cant remember who was passengering with me when that happened? Might have been @Barley - please tell me you had those epic sunglasses on!
The 140 is a funny thing. Handling isnt brilliant but you can drive around it if you treat it right....until the corner exit at which stage it does naughty things. Cruise missile is absolutely right. Get it straight, squirt the right pedal and off we go. Its a daft thing. Shoutout to @Willo40 and his lovely Mrs for the videos from the pit wall. I havent ever heard my car from the outside in the 4.5 years ive had it and was surprised at how it sounds!
Disappointed you didn't mention our high stakes race down the A50. Highlight of the weekend.
HA! I totally forgot about that! My favourite bit was clicking my cruise 1mph more than your speed and leaning closer to my steering wheel for aerodynamics......inside the car......
We never found out what you had to contend with in the aftermath of the phall and an enclosed space.
LOL. Luckily, it was relatively uneventful. @MarkCup didnt muller the porcelain and if he did, I couldnt hear it over the screaming.

TBH the worst of the aftermath of that curry was me stood in the car park. God knows what happened there but I unleashed a fart that would have tickled the devil himself. @Cookie and @MarkCup heard it and I couldnt tell by their expressions whether they were impressed or disgusted.

Thanks all for another cracking weekend. Only went to my first CSF last year and can see how they're such an event. Massive thanks to all the admin staff who put the event together. I said on the day it was proper surreal that a Clio forum could put on such a well run and large scale event.

Massive thanks to @MarkCup for coming out in the Mini for a few laps to offer some guidance before taking me for a few laps in it to show how it should be done. Made a massive difference to my for the rest of the session even if I was a little slow and taking terrible lines. Next year I'll approach with more confidence and commitment!

Few people I've not met before which was good to put a face to the name, @NorthloopCup wasn't what I was expecting, for some reason I had you penned as some middle aged bloke covered in oil doing gearbox refurbs in your garage. Thanks to @Sir_Dave and @Touring_Rob for offering to answer any mini questions I have.

Was also good to meet @Sir Nancy Flowers and get some laps in the rep-mobile too. @Cookie was alright in the morning, then laughed at me well too much with the Caterham. @Daniel I was genuinely squashed in like playdoh, @Filters misses had to proper mould me into it and buckle me in, absolutely zero dignity whilst Terry just stood laughing at me. I still don't know how they'd have removed my from the cage without cutting me into chunks.

The curry the night before just had me in stiches all night. Just a really good weekend with decent people. Looking forward to next year too!
