clutch went last nite

driving home from work last night i was just overtaking some bloke and my clutch went managed to limp home in 3rd gear.

got some quotes today i tried renaul first and they come up with £750

then tried a place called adams motors and they come up with £530

then tried harlow car care centre and they came up with £513

then tried wintry motor point and they come up with £200 with 3 yrs gaurantee and they have apparently done a few 16vs before

i didnt think that was at all bad 200 boys was expecting a lot moer than that

Yeah 200 sheets is a bloody good price - because rather than doing the job properly and getting the entire engine and gearbox out of hte car then fitting the new clutch, theyre going to separate them still in the engine bay and try to slip it in and hope for the best. It can be done that way, but its hit and miss as to whether itll go in properly. Still if theyll guarantee it for 3 years then fair enough, give them a try!

yeah cheers will give him a call tomorrow where abouts is this torsion tuning i think i have heard of it before

3 yrs gaurantee is good enough for me if its gonna break because of poor fitting it will be in the first 1000ish miles wont it??
