Creaky Rear..

well, my mk1 seems to be very creaky at the back right, the torsion bar has been lowered and ever since when someone sits on the rear of the boot or stands on it the back right area creaks like hell, does it and can hear inside the car too...

sounds like rubber. maybe the bushes? or a fubared shock?

no idea, but mine has just started to creak like a b**ch so am interested in what it could be

does it only do it with the handbrake on? If so its the drum moving against the shoes.

if it does it on the move make sure theres no crap built up and graunching between the trailing arm and the body mount bracket, although when that happens its a horrible noise.

Coudl be the shocks, get under th eback and make somone bounce on it and have a look and a feel.

Dunno if this sounds stupid, but, dont suppose it could be all the hot weather we have had lately just drying a few things out?

The reason i say that is because since all the warm weather mine seems to be a bit squeeky when driving down the road
