Decisions! Decisions!

  Add me 2 ur PS3 - Lylak
To set the scene - early this year one of my mates bought a Clio 172 FF in Monaco Blue and ever since I've been looking for a new car I've been concentrating my attentions on a Clio 172 FF.

Practically every day I've been looking patiently at the usual websites such as here, Pistonheads and Autotrader and a few weeks ago a cheap 172 in my area came up from a dealer.

Ideally I'd be after a Flame Red or Monaco Blue but this car is Iceburg Silver, and is well within my price range, with a warranty, FRSH and any comeback if things went pete tong.

Now, do I go and take a look this weekend and see if the Silver takes my fancy? Or shall I hold out patiently for a Flame Red / Monaco blue that will be in my budget?

Decisions decisions :boring:

I like the Iceburg Silver over Monaco, but i'd prefer a flame red.

If it's cheap enough i'd be going for it despite colour.

In the same boat myself, so many silver ones about compared to the other colours. I'm going for silver, more choice and prices seem lower. Had one in the past, and it's a nice colour, has sort of a blue tinge to it.

I guess they scrub up well.

I also think silver hides the agressive lines of the car which makes it more of a 'sleeper'.

What do you guys reckon?

i have a silver one and do love it but get a bit depressed when i see a really nice and clean coloured one ie LY flame red monaco blue etc. They just stand out more i think which is what i like.

I was after a red or black to start with, but ended up with an iceberg. Like the others say it has a nice tint of blue to it that sets it apppart from all the other silver cars out there:) . When clean it looks really nice and has grown on me alot now. God dam it, it needs a good wash after last weekends antics:dapprove:

colour is an important factor when buying the car , you may regret your decision.

choose wisely .....lol

One point that convinced me. Even when dirty the silver still looks good, whereas flame red looks flat and monaco looks like a normal clio, hides the lines totally. So, silver fort me (again!)

Looks nice mate.

Have to agree with the points above RE: dirt. I'll give the chap a ring and arrange a viewing.

If i had my heart set on a certain colour, i'd probably wait. Saying that i might be singing a different tune when i'm in the market for one.

Iceberg does look really nice, it's a bit bluey. If it's a goodun then go for it, but if you really have your heart set on another colour then wait.

Silver is too common for me, but looks good on dark wheels (if modding is your scene) I think if you can find a Flame Red one or a Monaco Blue one within your price range it will be well worth it! ;)

Gotta say that silver was not my first choice, but changed my mind when I saw it in the flesh. Now I definitely do not regret my decision after going out with a bunch of blues, greys, blacks & reds mine really stood out.

I dunno, SO many cars on the road are silver. Iceberg is OK I suppose.

I saw a flame red 172 in the sun though, and it really is a stunning colour. I didn't really like the Monaco Blue one I saw, it looked a bit dull (it was FILTHY though, which didn't help).

Go and have a look, but I'd be tempted to hold out for flame red - otherwise you KNOW you'll buy it and one will come up for sale!
