Deserted Farm

  FF RB 182
Me and Gaz were driving around finding places to take some pics of the clio, and we stumbled upon this place, an abandoned farm. Photos taken by him.

Entrance sign, security patrols are long gone.

I noticed this, that the other end was exactly the same through the peepholes in shed doors.

One of about 15 or so sheds.

One of the street lamps, all the wiring is cut on it. As was all the wiring on the sheds.

A big stack of pallets preventing access to the rest of the farm.

Never noticed it before, and a quick google shows the company were still active in October 2008, so it's only recently abandoned.

Looks a bit creepy, sort of thing you would see in 28 days later!! :S

Gaz said that when we left lol.

Creepy, nice pics mate looks like an interesting place.

Aye. Not sure what's in there, could be all sorts of interesting machinery and stuff at a guess.

Sort of place youd find bodies or people locked up :(

Hopefully not. Didn't see any beer cans or ought lying around, so hopefully no tramps or crackheads in there.

Next adventure ...... climb over the pallets! Preferably at night!!

Gaz wants to go back and have a look in some day.

Would love to go with you if you renturn to climb the pallets but i think 240 miles is a long way to go just to scare myself!!

A few more I took earlier.
Wanted to explore further in, but could hear a few voices and the odd crash and bang. Going to go back one weekend as it should be quiet then.

All the Sheds...

Inside one of the Sheds. This seems to be the way in, as all the sheds back onto a large brick building.

Gaz, give me a shout if you're planning on going back one weekend, might pop down with ya. Looks like a fun explore & piccy place :) There's actually a place in Leeds i've had marked to be checked out, but can't do it alone :)

Just googled the company name as I've got nothing better to do..they were a farm supply wholesalers. Put kept getting a lot of links to do with wild mushrooms. Maybe the illegal type? Which could explain why they are now bust?

Nothing better than exploring old abandoned places, old railway lines are good too. Was a great series on months ago on CH4, Life After People, about what would happen to earth if humans were to disappear.

Saw that program, was really interesting.

Used to walk around what was the Prince of Wales Colliery in Pontefract when I was at college, most stuff was gone but some buildings and stuff was still there.

  Family Bus
Fab photo's.

I'd s**t myself going anywhere like that lol, but looks really interesting!
