I've tried the Rain X one but wasn't that impressed, keeping your windows really clean and then just use the demister is the only option that kind of works if you have no aircon.

I believe they all work based on lowering surface tension, by putting the fairy liquid on you lower the surface tension of the water condensating on the windscreen.

So instead of having droplets of water on the windscreen making it opaque the water spreads out and creates a 'clear' layer.

That Koch FSE looks intresting. Detailing spay so can target areas rather than wash whole car. And pretty cheap too.

White leather..

My wife was a r****d and got a Tesla with white leather and now my jeans have transferred onto them 🙄

I've heard baby wipes are the best thing but want to know what options are available if I need to step it up!

Claybar question.
I’m trying to do a decent clean on the MX5 and the Clio. First time claying either car.
Is this looking ok? I’ve used meguiars shampoo and a meguiars spray that came with the clay- when I clay a panel, keeping the clay lubricated, it looks like there’s some kind of contamination left behind. Just want to know if this is normal or if there’s an issue! (Paint is Mazda stormy blue, not the Clio, yet).

Yep, there are masses of scratches, hence claying and then aiming to polish. Thanks.

Looks a little bit like the clay has left some residue behind as its passed. Might not have had enough lube to keep it sliding about. Sometimes some of the clay 'rubs off' onto the paint. Nothing to worry about, give it a wipe with a cloth and see if it comes off. Might need to give it a rub (ooooeeeeerrr)

Thanks Nostrils, that worked and all good. I used some farecla G3 and it doesn’t look to have reduced the scratches at all. Any tips people? Before I let loose on the precious concours Clio.

SPTA rotary, 4 dots on a foam pad. Probably 4 passes. I’m new to this so sooner be careful than completely messing up. Thanks!

Rotary is brave for a beginner. You’re likely being too gentle with it but also the risk of cutting through the clear is high with a rotary. If you can get access to a DA try that. Much safer compared to rotary. 4 passes isn’t enough for that marring

What pad are you using?

Thanks for the advice. It’s the foam pad that came with the spta. It’s a cordless one and I’m using it on a low speed.
