Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

I’ve read that Angelwax heaven for leather is very good.

It’s a cleaner and conditioner all in one. Reviews seem pretty good.

Looks like a separate conditioner. Which is fine if that’s the case..

What spray sealants are folk recommending these days? Finally got round to sorting wash facilities at our house so wanna start getting back into the habit of washing our own cars instead of using the local scratch and shine 😂

Not arsed for anything ceramic that needs the right prep to last long. I have Wetcoat for the lazy spray and rinse days but any recommendations for a "normal" sealant when I have the extra time to apply it properly

Seen some good reviews on the new Turtle Wax Pure Bead.

I've always thought of TW as a cheap entry level brand, but they looked to have stepped it up with this.

Feynlab Hybrid Ceramic Detailer. Very good stuff and is meant to last up to 3 months. Can’t confirm if it does or it doesn’t as I use it every other wash on all the cars. Beads up well and adds depth to the shine though when applied. 👍🏻

This was one of the ones I was actually looking at, same as the TW stuff @JamesBryan mentioned
Depending on how far you want to go, I can HIGHLY recommend SiRamik lustrous plus. It’s a graphene coating and according to the blurb, it lasts up to 12 months. All I did was prepped the car with Carpro essence and applied the SiRamik as per the instructions. It’s very similar to a ceramic coating in its application.

When I bought it, I used it on the wife’s Tiguan as a tester to see if it was much good. That was last May and it’s still going strong now! 😂

It’s gone through the winter with no issues whatsoever. All the Tiguan gets is a wash and I use Carpro ech20 diluted for use as a qd/drying aid. It’s obviously not as hydrophobic as it was, but the water still beads and runs off the paintwork.

I put it on the M2 as well, but that obviously gets pampered more than the Tiguan. I’ve got some Gyeon Mohs for that, but that SiRamik is still going strong on that as well 😂
