Detailing - With no garage.

Reet, me again.

About to start the car in prep for trax.

Was wandering, if i did all the prep work today, left it overnight and polished/sealed tomorrow, will i screw something up?

Was going to wash, clay, remove all bonded on s**te then just leave it, drive over to the GFS tomorrow, give it another wash/snowfoam then crack on from where i left off (she has a garage that i can do the polishing in but wont have time today)...

Awesome... Couldn't have seen there being a problem as long as its properly washed tomorrow but thought i would checked... Never broken a detail down into two bits before iv just got it done but its not feasable in this time scale (left it way too late!)

As long you dont park it under trees etc where loads of s**t will settle on the car

If the weather is s**t between now and the time we're meeting at Donny Park then I'll be rolling dirty down to the hotel and try and find somewhere that I can give it a once over down there. If the weather stays pisch then the car will be filthy for the show too.

I just washed mine for our meet on Sunday, dried with the big i4D towel + Megs Last Touch
The heavens opened as I unscrewed the top off the Blue Velvet - it really is that good! lol

Im also abit dubious about driving it too:dead: FFS I wish we didn't live in such a s**t house. I need a garage!

I clay with my car wet anyway mate, find it safer on the paint

Wash it and dry it after so you don't get too many water marks.

Yeah, just give her a decent going over, arches, wheels etc. Last thing you want is for any dirt to be hiding that the machine or pad can pic up :S

Right, claying and prep done... Can now see the swirls for all their glory !

Im impressed with the lack of tar on the car though, clay will easily be able to be reused.

Lets hope it goes my way tomorrow and i dont screw up in some way.

With snowfoam. Do you NEED to get the attachment for a power washer for it to work (spray gun thing)? or is it just a matter of throwing a bucket of it over the car???

Want to give it a try just dont fancy spending £40 on the gun.

Yes mate, will sort out with the banned one tonight or tomorrow about what time I'm collecting him, no doubt we will be late to Donny Park though...I've never seen n0rm be on time yet lol. He's a mong getting perma banned, but it should make Trax a bit more entertaining ROFL, I predict a riot...

I've just gone out, as the sun came out, with the intention of cleaning mine out inside and give it a quick wash down and a layer of sealant. Cleaned the inside of the windows and just as I got the vac out...it f**king chucked it done lol. Packed away and come back in...now the sun is out again!

I can't wait to see your pikie ride for the way down then! lol I've not had a problem with flies since getting a few layers of sealant and wax down. Just rinse right off now.
