Ditch the willie for a 182 cup?

Im stuck on what to do im in love with ma williams but its gettin a bit old now and the heaters stopped working ect and all i can dream about is a nice nearly new shiney 182 with no rattles or bups n nice warm journeys in this freezing cold shite weather, i dunno what to do fork out about 8k and get a nice 182 cup or stick with ma willie!!??!!?? need sum advise!!! ps if any1 wants a lovely williams in px for a nice 182 cup if i decide to get 1...get inm touch

i may get a whole load of people hateing me now!, but in a 172 id feel ever so slightly second to a 182? i dunno why maybe just that 10bhp which i know will be hardly noticed at all but i really like the dual exits on the 182 and the cup alloys are gorgeous, unfortunutly theres no way on gods earth i can have them both, im only 19 and iv had a bloody peugeout 406 coupe px for a car i had and thats been on my drive aswell as the williams (mums hyundai getz can say on the road ta very much.....even tho hers is "more expencive and more valuble than that M reg car"..yea...watever.............dick...NEWAY,, back to the point i cudnt afford both really, insurance wud be a killer ect, ahh im so stuck i love the williams but shud i move on?....as i dont really know much about the mk 2's n 3's...if i did ge a 172 id get a mk 3 but neway wats really the big differnce between the 172 n ther 182...simply dual exits and 10bhp?

i just read threw it and it didnt make much sence, the only reason i bought the 406 into it was because me mum wud go mad if i got rid of the 406 n replaced it with another 2nd car!,

a few more slight differences ...... but that about , ppl have done 182 exhaust conversions on their 172 including dual exitting pipes , if thats what floats your boat ....

as you say it's money dependant

i suppose just changing the exaust over wud give me that "boner factor" the 182 gives me for sum reason, how much does a nice colour mint 172 go for?

6-7 k for a decent full fat ..... private plate , get dual exhaust done , a few mods ....

niiiice,thats alot cheaper than what i though!!...*off to pistonheads* yea i got me private plate to slap on,even got it all made up, i was gunna stick it on the willie but all the cold winter starts and journeys got and seeing a few cups about made me hessitate.

I used to think that the exausts were to close together, infact this time 2 years back i hated the look of the 182 and the 172, but theve MAJORLY grown on me!, i love them now!, mostly to all the lovely pictures peoople post on here, do you think id have trouble selling my willie, its totaly mint full service history really looked after well but its 134k miles :-s i dont think people woukld really wanna go for it?

if its mint ......i'd go , sometimes it'll be hard to find one close as good you need to check all your options before deciding , maybe a 182 would be the better option

yea i think i need to look properly, ive only had breif looks on pistonheads and ebay, i was gunna go jap but, i LOVE my clios my willie was my 3rd and they just suit me to the ground, saying that i havnt even driven a 182!!! maybe a test drive at a dealership is in order?, yea im not to worried about selling my williams at the mo, ill just wait till i see 1 that suits me perfect, tho i have just found a lovely 182 cup thats like 10 miles from me if that! http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/131151.htm

Go for the 182.Plus it wont have any rust like the willy.
Some people on here have spent 10k on there willy's to keep them on the road.My 172 and 182 were both exellent cars.

go for the FF182 matey.

i know it's not the same really, but i've recently gone from a Ph1 172 to a FF 182. It's soooo much nicer to potter round in, plus there's all the toys and the security of warranty. i wish i had done it sooner.
