I think I'm in the same boat as you :/
I just have no time and love for my Clio, I want rid as I can clear a loan which ultimately means £200 p/m plus £70 p/m insurance and any other running costs.
Gem's saying not too as ill regret it and I know I might :/

Biggest problem is it doesn't make me happy like the ph1, I don't care to much for running costs as it just sits there! Would be nice to sell it before my insurance runs out end of the month! (That means it was nearly a year ago I bought the 350 flol!)
Thing is Danny for you looking for houses you want to be as debt free as possible! Unsure if I'd miss this car or not!
You have the corsa to play in too though! So not too bad

Lol! So true Danny, only you can decide wether you want rid! You'll be skint for a while anyway with the house, so with out the loan you'll be a little better off.

No loans for me now, however saving for 15-20k deposit is just depressing I thought about getting rid of mine but its fairly pointless imo, what else could I get for around 2k that has 44k, fully serviced, gets 40MPG on a long trip, good for the odd trackday and as fun as my 172? I would only be 'upgrading' for the sake of it, I dont really want my car but it makes sense to keep for another year at least. Ill probably end up getting a boring old 330ci in a year or so to cruise about in.

Seems like there's a few of us who thinking about getting rid, just bored of the same car now i very nearly bought throttle bodies last night but then saw sense due to the miles iv'e got on the cup it wasn't the wisest of ideas so never, very much doubt i'l sell the cup as it's worth next 2 nowt anyways so no point so it would more than likely just end up been SORN and parked away, keep finding myself looking at bloody diesels lol

Every one goes through it, sadly every other person in my phone book has a clio (most of my close friends do lol) and several have spoke of selling recently, must be the cycle of the clio or something.

Also have a feeling im going to have more luck selling the car if i put standard seats/steering wheel back in so if i have no interest in 2weeks ill be doing that I think!

Well the cars no longer for sale, looking at it through a more mature set of eyes I realised the cars i was looking at were going to cost more to insure that it does to run my car for a year.
Ive now down the logical thing and in a few weeks i will own this lol!, bar the wheels. Hopefully the thread will be getting updated soon,

Its owned by one of my best mates, has a few bits to sort but nothing I cant do.
The monaco will be getting sorn'd the end of the month, and when insurance runs out I will be insuring the phase 1.
Everything had panned out nicely!

Pretty much after talking/thinking alot it was inevitable that in 6months times i will end up selling what i bought and returning to a clio and as i prefer a ph1 it makes sense to cut out the middle part and buy this, ive got it at a decent price so I dont think i will be loosing out. Plus my renewal for insurance is only £600, which is half the insurance of what i was looking at buying. I know I do stupid things.
Plans that are set in stone,
These parts will be going to the ph1-
Interior, coilovers, air con delete, induction kit, my seats, coilovers, brakes, wheels, spacers. Probably other bits.
Then i will look at what ive got left over and go from there. I am going to try sell the cammed engine, this will allow me to run a standard engine and leave me open for future plans. If the engine doesnt sell then it will go in the ph1.
