Dodgy electric windom

Now then chaps,

Recently the driver side electric window started being a bit dodgy on my 2001 mk2.

It goes down with a few quite loud clunks and clicks, but when i try and get it back up next to nothing happens??

It goes up mega slow, and I have to sort of pull the window up by hand??

Any clues??

Sounds like you need a new regulator.

Mine did all the same noises until one day something snapped and it wouldn't go back up.

Same happened to mine, couple of clunks when it went down and the glass pretty much dropped out when I tryed to put it up, got it done on the Renault Warranty which eas handy has it would have costed me a bomb

Turns out i need a whole new winder mechanism after it gave up completely........
