Does your 172 decat pop, bang and put out the occasional small flame?

Just curious as mine, as far as i'm aware does none of the above, although it is still attached to a standard system, the only change is the janspeed decat.

I'm thinking of putting a decat'ed yozza ragnotti on, will i get somne poppin with this??

I get mild pops and burbles but I only have a Janspeed sports cat (awaits the abuse for being gay).

also is yours a 182, cos the 4-2-1 manifold prob helps with that as well

Had this before in my decatted Subaru...sounded like a giunshot somethimes but was antisocial in town lol

As you say Ali, my 1.2 was much more lively with just a cat back.

you wont get flames with the standard exhaust, your need a diffrent back box..

As you say Ali, my 1.2 was much more lively with just a cat back.

Sports cat made quite a difference to my 172 with a Stealth fitted....a tad more noise but no pops/bangs.

i have a janspeed decat to a magnex 5x3 (guess without measuring)oval system with a viper.,
on cold it maybe pops a bit but thats it.mind,saying that when one of my injectors went it banged like a b**ch!!
the decat is the way to go!!

Dunno. no decat on mine. - Maxogen, Inlet, Cat back and GrpN ECU.

Are you not bothered that petrol is going in from the pump, through your engine without being burnt to produce any power and then being pumped out the back?

At least when I put petrol in my car it's like burning money, not just throwing money away!

(I feel guilty criticising your car as it has the holy flame red paint job and turinis)
